What to say about the Parque Natural do Litoral Norte?

This is one of the best natural parks I've been to in my life. It covers both river and ocean streams of water, therefore providing the visitor with sandunes, marshland, fishing areas, great picture spots, relaxed walks, clean air runs, as well as peace and tranquility.
It connects several towns/cities, and it's definitely worth every second of your time.

I highly recommend it!

Gorgeous wild ocean the other Fall day. Great boardwalks amongst the dunes and grasses and views across the river to Esposende

Awesome walkway. You can spend a good half a day walking around. You will most likely see some fishermen as well trying to capture their best fish! Worth visiting if you are around Esposende. Let's not forget the kite surfers!!!

Great place to stop overnight too if you have a van or similar. Great beach, great sand dunes, good surfing spot, good access.

There is a wooden walkway along the coast so you can be in the midst of things but without trampling on all the vegetation. Lots of waders and gulls and herons. Parking wasn't too difficult either.

Beautiful place, where river Cávado meets the ocean. A strip of land, a few hundred of meters wide, covered with pine trees, separates the river from the see.

About Esposende
City in Portugal

Esposende is a city and a municipality in Braga District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 34,254, in an area of 95.41 km². The city itself had a population of 9,197 in 2001. It gained city status on 2 July 1993. The present Mayor is Fernando Couto Cepa, elected by the Social Democratic Party. The municipal holiday is August 19. It is located on the Portuguese Way of the Camino de Santiago. source
