Amazing place, lots of history.

I ordered a chicken dish which came with rice, chips and veg. The chicken was very soft, really nice meal!

We were also offered soup and a drink - we got plenty of red wine.

All amazing for 7 euro!

We stopped here for supper on our pilgrimage to Santiago and we could not ask for a more heartwarming welcome to Barcelos. The serving lady does not speak English but she understood our orders and went out of her way to ensure that we were satisfied. There are several large meal options for pilgrims. We had the chicken. It comes with a large portion of rice, delicious roasted potatoes and salad. Soup and a drink is included in the fantastically low price of 5 €. The quality of the food is excellent. They also offer to stamp your credentials. This is not a Michelin star restaurant but it offers the best of Portugal - kindness, hospitality and generosity. A must for every pilgrim walking the Camino de Santiago.

For pilgrims a must have. Simple but good food. The owners are absolutely lovely and caring people. We met many other pilgrims here and had a great time. Interesting to see old pilgrims passes on the wall.

The restuarant offers pilgrim meal for 5€ and it comes with a drink, a soup, bread and main course. Food is good and owner is super nice and friendly. His food filled our hungry stomach and his hospitality filled our hearts. 👍
