Fraga do Puio Lookout

The Fraga do Puio (Peinha de L Puio in Mirandês language) is perfectly framed from this 610m high observation deck. This river course twist resembles a panoramic view shrinked to a 180 degree field of view.
One of the most iconic views of the Alto Douro region.

Amazing view and an easy walk from the village. There is an unprotected section with a deep drop so take extra care with small children.

Amazing spot. Stunning view where you can see a natural border between Portugal and Spain... Worth to visit, just a bit out of the main road.

A superb view point to Douro river, a short walk away from the center of Picote (around 15m). The lookout itself is a interesting architectural structure, headed by a glass triangle where you can stand above the cliff and enjoy the the river making a u-turn around the mountain.

Beautiful hidden view. Worth the drive.

As condições climáticas não foram as melhores, mas pela vista recomendo a passagem.
