This amazing hidden gem of the Douro is tucked away in a hill with breathtaking views of the stone bridge and river. Run by a young family, this place serves extremely fresh (most ingredients are grown or caught in the area) and home made Portuguese food. The fried fish and the bacalhau gratin are amazing, but you cannot miss the desserts (sobremesa). The young owners lived in France mostly (one of them is actually french) and it clearly shows in the quality dessert swlection: the fondant and creme brulee are delicious, probably the best we've ever had (and my wife is a true creme brulee fanatic).
You cannot miss this picturesque little restaurant when in the area. The hosts Tatiana and Jean will absolutely take care of you!

Unbelievably good. Try the fish soup the fried river fish caught on the day and the creme belle.

We had a fantastic and super well-priced meal here - awesome service and laid back atmosphere with a totally amazing view! It was a lovely train ride from Pinhão too. Love all the fresh ingredients from the area and the in-house made desserts, especially the fondant! Will be back next time we are in the Douro!

Isolated spot, but really worth visiting. Good food, fantastic view, local people, friendly staff. Try the Barbot, local fish from the Douro.
