Pedras Lavradas

This mountain top restaurant and accommodation sits on the high up on the mountain on the boarder of the Guarda and Castelo Branco District. I have only stopped for coffee so have not tried the food. But it's my favourite places for a coffee. Stunning views, quiet and atmospheric. Right next to the wind farm if you want to experience wind turbines close up.

Very beautiful views on mountains , endless mountains and forests. For our apartment we pay 41€ , but it was worth it .

Great place. We arrived before the kitchen was really open but they made us omelettes anyhow. That is service! Friendly staff though they don't speak english.

Very traditional Portuguese restaurant, affordable prices and delicious food

This was a big surprise for us. We were hours overdue for lunch, and pulled over here out of necessity. We thought it was just a truck-stop, but discovered it also has a dining-room in the back, with a million-dollar view. Our server was alone for the first time, but clearly wanted to do a professional job. We were a party of six, and all ordered the ‘table d’hôte’ menue: seared fish or braised veal, caldo verde, bread and olives, dessert, wine, and coffee, for €47. Total. I had the veal, simmered with fresh garlic and olive oil. Delicious! My Neighbour has the fish (pecenha?) and I snuck a taste. It rivaled anything I might have caught back home a few hours ago. This food was rustic (the veal came with fries and sliced tomatoes), but prepared by a chef who clearly knows her technique. I understand why on such a minor artery, that the parking lot was full.

Restaurant on the mountain pass. We only stopped at the car park for a few hours to wait for bad weather to pass. Judging by the amount of cars, they feed well ha ha.

Recomendo bastante este local, fui recebido por todo o staff com bastante simpatia. Boa vista do quarto para a serra. A comida é muito boa, bons preços. Fiquei impressionado com o pequeno almoço que recebi incluído com o alojamento, dos melhores de todos até agora.

Je ne connaissais pas ce restaurant qui et tout seul dans la montagne a un croisement, je me suis arrêtée par hasard, ils y avait beaucoup de véhicules stationnés devant, c'est toujours un signe où on mange bien .
Ils ont 4 plats du jour très bien servis plus des plats à la carte.
Je recommande personnel et cadre agréable.

Depois de curvas e mais curvas, muito frio e muita chuva la chegamos ao AL Pedras Lavradas🤗

Numa tarde chuvosa de domingo, 17 Setembro, num local de boas vistas mas recondito, numa encruzilhada de estradas, esperava-se um restaurante vazio ou com pouca gente! Estranha-se, estava cheio e apesar da hora tardia para almoço, cerca das 14 horas, tivemos que esperar alguns minutos. Pratos do dia, leitão e chanfana da nossa terra! Foquei-me no preço da chanfana, 12 euros, nada mau, pensei eu...no final, depois de 4 doses de chanfana e uma de cozido a portuguesa, com entrada de azeitonas e pão e ainda sobremesa e café para os cinco foi a hora de pagar.
Pelo valor da dose esperava o valor de cerca de 80 euros. Surpresa, 60 euros. Os 12 euros incluía tudo! Justificada tanta afluência numa tarde de domingo chuvosa.
Pela qualidade da comida, simpatia e excelente preço, aconselho vivamente este restaurante..

Otimo hotel e restaurante. Ao inicio não dava nada mas depois com certeza mudei de ideias.
