Nice setting. Oversized portions. Price, in particular wine, is well above what would be expected in the area. A €15 house wine that sells for €2.5 in the supermarket. A little bit too much in my opinion.

An old converted mill right next to the river. The outside seating is over the river with a view of the beach. Depending on the time of year, mosquitoes could become a menace.
The interior is also impressive and cozy.

The Restaurant serves classic Portuguese dishes as well as delicacies from the region.

We had the feijoada de marisco and for dessert we choose the Tijelada which I had never heard of before both were yummy. The restaurant has a lovely view and is housed in an old water mill olive press.

Decided to stop at this restaurant on my way up north and what a pleasant surprise.
The entries were very good and the octopus I've ordered as a main, was cooked to perfection.
Will definitely come back.

For me this is a five star place to have a lunch or dinner, the prices may be above average for this area of Portugal but the location is stunning set next to a beautiful river and a lovely veranda to take in the
ambiance of the site. We enjoyed our days here and it is worthy to note that the information regarding the telephone number of the place on google/internet site is incorrect... the correct number is 235721640. A must place to visit for lunch or dinner.

Originalmente um lagar de azeite, que utilizava a corrente do rio para os moínhos, conta já com mais de 300 anos e pertencia ao convento de Santo António, em Vila Cova do Alva.

Gostei da comida, era muito saborosa e variada. O sítio é bastante turístico, por isso o preço é provavelmente um pouco mais elevado do que nos restaurantes normais.
O local em si é muito interessante, um antigo moinho convertido num restaurante. Foi interessante passear com os miúdos e ver os pormenores do interior. A vista e a natureza à volta são lindas. Gostámos muito.
