Douro Suites

Great little resort on the Douro! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as relaxing as possible. The picnic baskets were delicious - we ordered the arroz de pato and lasagna. Will be back!

Duoro Suites is just perfect in every way. They have an exquisite location, an amazing food menu that you can have in the garden or poolside in a picnic basket. Their staff is the best hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. Their attention to detail is just perfect. I could not recommend them more. Everything is truly perfect. PS: I forgot my AirPods in the room and they called to alert me and offered to send them to my next destination free of charge.

I don’t even know where to begin. This is potentially the nicest, best place I’ve ever stayed. It is so serene and beautiful, it almost feels like a private villa. We were lucky to be two of the only people there mid-week in September. The staff is so incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast is AMAZING and beautifully presented. The level of detail in decor and experiences is astounding. Our 30-minute sailboat ride came with a complimentary mini bottle of Prosecco and a crystal jar of cookies.

The only thing to note is it’s quite far from the heart of the Douro wine region where most of the vineyards and tastings are. We knew that going in, so we had a wonderful time staying secluded at the hotel except for one day trip to a quinta in Paso de Régua about an hour away.

We stayed in the lake villa and it was paradise. Breakfast is wonderful and we also enjoyed our picnic dinner one night. The villa was comfortable with a great view. It is very quiet which is exactly what we wanted. We will be back.

The is easily one of the best places to stay in Portugal along the Douro . The staff are so nice and very helpful. The Rooms are amazing , the amenities are top and their beds are heavenly. The location is stunning , you will never tire from the view. The breakfast is by far the best we had in Portugal and we've been traveling for 15 days and to different hotels. We are so glad we booked here....we are definitely going back .

Everything is great about this hotel. The location is perfect. The interior design is charming and the staff sweet. The breakfast was amazing and we loved canoeing on the Douro! Hope to come back at some point.
