Restaurante Diamante Azul

We were here on a Sunday evening in early October and at first had the place to ourselves. Our waiters were attentive; they made excellent recommendations; they served us delightful gin &tonics; and lastly surprised us with a special dessert. Excellent food; outstanding service; and a lovely walk to & from our place in the old part of the City.

Not centrally located. Never mind. You don't need to eat while watching the bridge and river. Here the staff is superb. The food os wonderful and you don't have a miriad of dishes ready to come out of the fridge. Beatiful and spacious room. Everything is properly cooked and served. It is probably not the place you should visit if you stay for one meal and want local dishes. They have a few but it's not their beach. Come here if you are staying in Ponte de Lima. You won't regret.

Quanto à ementa...pedimos Bolinhas de alheira que estavam maravilhosas, mas o Arroz de Sarrabulho e os rojões são do melhor que se pode comer!Terminamos com uma Mousse de chocolate negro que estava deliciosa!

Longe da parte turística de Ponte de Lima, tem um belo arroz de sarrabulho com uns magníficos rojões. Vale a pena deixar os restaurantes turísticos da margem do rio para trás, subir para uma zona menos interessante, mas que gastronomicamente é uma grande aposta. Relação qualidade/preço incrível. Tem outras boas opções.

Absolutamente delicioso. Comimos las costillas de cordero y medallones de rape, a cada cual más rico. Totalmente recomendable. Los camareros muy amables y atentos.
