Definitely one of the best restaurants in Lisbon. The hosts from the region of Porto offered travel tips and was very friendly with our young kid. The service was great and the best meals were the octopus fillets with octopus rice, sausage mestballs with Portuguese rice, and veal chops.

Run, don't walk to this restaurant. The food is amazing, the welcoming nature of the owner fabulous and the experience 10 out of 10. It all blends together into a melange of why we come to Lisbon. Food. Culture. Wine. Happiness. Get it all here.

Simply put: Amazing.
The food, the warm service and the atmosphere.
One of the best places I have ever eaten at, with the best food I ever had.
Never ate an octopus that literally melted in my mouth and a pork that was cooked to an absolute ELITE level of perfection.
Will absolutely visit again, next time we're in Lisbon.

This was an amazing restaurant with such a nice couple running it. João & his wife made us feel right at home. They have their meals on a cork board that they bring table side and João will recommend wine to go with your choices. If you are a seafood lover-please get the clams & the roasted octopus…you will not be disappointed! We had such a lovely time here. The ambience is wonderful. Until next time!!

From the moment you enter you are treated like a VIP by the proprietor. The atmosphere is honest and comfortable, feeling like a quality, clean country kitchen.

The place is tucked away in a quiet side street, hardly noticeable from outside, adding to it's charm.

The menu is traditionally Portuguese with several yummy sounding octopus dishes and fish as well as meat.

We were served crusty fresh bread rolls (in a cloth bag, how cute!) and a variety of pate, which were delicious.

From the menu, I settled on the pork shank and it was incredible! The outside was crispy and the inside tender and juicy - the meat fell off the bone in glistening flavourful chunks.

Highly recommended for a quiet, quality meal with attentive and interesting staff.

We had a super lovely dinner with the family here. Such nice and forthcoming service by João and Alexandra, the owners, who provided us with a whole hand drawn map of recommendations what to see in Portugal as well as amazing food.
We had various delicious dishes and great house wine (the red was full with tannin‘s and flavor, sooo good), but especially the roasted octopus was the best I ever had. Tender like chicken with a beautiful buttery sauce, the perfect amount of garlic and perfectly cooked potatoes with spinach. Wow!

Also the atmosphere was just so homey and comforting, making me want to come back every day. I hope to return and explore the menu further!

(Note: A reservation is definitely recommended. They are very busy and space is limited. However, we called at 7pm and were able to get space for 4 at 9pm the same night)

This place is very unique with wonderful atmosphere, it's better to make a reservation in advance because it may be fully booked.
The cuisine is very locally, fish, beef, sea food ect. The deserts are delicious.
The owners are very friendly and the hospitality is great!
Highly recommended!

Really lovely octopus and gambas! We also thoroughly enjoyed the bread and pates even if that wasn’t meant to be the highlight 🤭 the creme brûlée is amazing as well. Owners are super friendly and helped us to translate the menu in English. Homely vibe, do give it a visit!

Great little gem off the main street. This Portuguese family restaurant serves a diverse and tasty menu of homemade dishes. Not touristic at all and full of locals.
The owners are extremely friendly and will gladly translate the menu if needed.

Lovely little restaurant with really nice and helpful staff. Beautiful interior. They took the time to talk us through the menu and all the various dishes we ordered were delicious (with very generous portion sizes). Would recommend to everyone.

This place has amazing food and the friendly host has good English despite a Portuguese only menu. It felt very authentic - the place was full of locals. Don’t mind the appearance of the neighbourhood. We had salmon and octopus with mussels as an app.
