We didn't know that they only do guided tours at certain times.. But luckily we managed to get really nice guided tour just for the two of us with really nice and friendly guide... That was worth of 1.5 h of waiting.. Especially that we got nice lunch recommendations to spend the time.

We had such a lovely tour here, we had a fantastic young guide, who spoke very good English and knew her history. Also about the collection of artifacts that they have there. Its not just a wine Tour. Well worth a visit if you like history. €8 was for a guided tour, taste the sparkling wine and some lovely little bread rolls with the famous pork.

A great spot to see some cool artifacts from around the world, and taste some great snacks and sparkling wines after the tour finishes. Goncalo Costa was an excellent tour guide, he spoke fluent English and cares about history and sharing it with others. If life allows the opportunity, would love to visit again!

Fantastic. A must do. Worth visiting, for all ages, but particularly adults as there is a wine, champagne and brandy tasting included in the entrance price. What an amazing museum, phenomenal items on show. Mind blowing how many bottles of champagne there are in the tunnels underground. My only complaint is that it is a guided tour and the guide, though very informative, rushes you through a little too quickly as there is so much to see.

Fascinating museum on the site of a winery which uses the old tunnels that were built to age the wine at a constant temperature. Apart from wine, you get a collection of African art, a huge fossil collection, exotic minerals and much more.
Tours are guided and you will have to walk about a mile, but it is a great experience.

Amazing museum with lots of very interesting collections. 1-hour tour in English with degustation cost just 3 Euro per person and there were only the two of us. Highly recommended, especially when the weather is bad.

Great experience. The history, placing and the odd setting for a museum make for an unique experience. At the end you can taste test a couple of their sparkling wines and sangria.

A very interesting museum with many artifacts to see and many facts to learn. There you can learn the wine process and african culture and see art collections. It has also a wine shop at the end. I recomend it!

The "Aliança Vinhos" belongs to an important Portuguese group of wine producing companies, whose owner is a well-known art collector.
In the "Aliança" cellars are exhibited its collections of African art, minerals, "Azulejos" (Portuguese decorative tiles).
This visit surprised me by the extension of the collections and by the exhibition quality
At the end of the visit the company provides a small tasting of a sparkling wine.
In the place there is a shop where you can buy the wines of the group Bacalhoa
