Perfection from check in to check out. We were greeted warmly by Hugo and given a fanatic orientation to the city with recommendations and easy to find sites. The room was comfortable and inviting, even had a fridge. The breakfast was fantastic including cook to order hot items. The buffet had home cooked baked goods and quiches. All very delicious. Rarely does a hotel advertising SURPASS what you get upon arrival, but this place is a true gem full of history and true caring. Evora itself is not to be missed, we had a fantastic experience.

The Albergaria do Calvário staff were kind and very helpful and the location is right within the Heritage site where you can walk to all Evora’s historical places. The king suite is very spacious and it included 2 large sofas, mini fridge, free water and toiletries. The king size bed is soft and very comfortable. This is a very clean hotel and it has an underground parking.

Exceptional service from the woman who greeted us, I believe her name was Anna. Good location for exploring the old city. They had a parking garage but we opted to park outside the old city at the free parking and walk the five minutes to the property. Room was large and breakfast was good.

Flawless hotel. Beautiful modern rooms in excellent condition, in a nicely maintained historic building. Lovely quiet patio to relax any time of day. And the most helpful, kind staff: the concierges continuously went above and beyond in helpfulness, politeness, and just all around discreet sweetness.

Delicious breakfast buffet! I recommend eating outdoors, on the patio.

Great garage with AC outlets dedicated to free electric car charging.

Best hotel we stayed in in Portugal. And at a price that in my opinion was too low. I would gladly return here any time and for any length.

One of the many pleasant highlights of the trip. This hotel has and will do it all for you. The attendant wears all the hats during your stay. Suggests and will make your dinner reservations, serve you coffee or spirits from their cozy bar area that has multiple couches, tables, books and games. There is a restaurant on site that serves a full menu and the continental breakfast was well stocked, they even offer to make you eggs and pancakes.
Located just inside the walls, it's an easy walk to just about everything. parking is limited if you're driving fyi.

Room was OK, very big but no view. Food was just incredible. Green salad for 8 euros was the best I had in my life for dinner. Coffee served for breakfast was real tasty coffee. Not instant coffee. I would come back just for food.

Had a wonderful stay at ADCalvario. Conveniently located within the old town walls of Evora, the accommodations were perfect. Nice courtyard to enjoy a drink or breakfast, and the full breakfast offered was an excellent start to our day. The hotel staff was so helpful, gave us recommendations for restaurant options and called for various reservations. Highly recommend, we would definitely stay here if coming to Evora again!

The staff is very nice and friendly. Very clean and cozy. You can park the car and walk in Évora to see the famous chapel of bones and S. Francisco church & museum. Visit the Giraldo!

An excellent place to stay within the walls of Evora. Staff was incredible and had great suggestions on things to see, eat, and do! Breakfast is exceptional. Very clean and comfortable rooms, we stayed 4 nights and I hope to be back some day!

Quiet hotel in a great location.
All the staff were brilliant, knowledgeable and helpful with plenty of local suggestions.
Room was lovely, quiet and great water pressure in shower (over bath). Comfy bed and extensive beakfast provisions.
Bar and food options in the bar were also good if you need to have a night in, but close to many good, authentic restaurants.
Would definately recommend this hotel.

Awesome property conveniently inside the city walls. We had a quiet, large room. The staff were very helpful. If you drive there, parking is either the three x marked spots out front or pull into the hotel entrance to find an underground parking garage. Breakfast was very good (order eggs, bacon and pancakes).

We stayed in Evora for 8 days and this hotel was a great place to stay in. First advantage was parking - they have for a fee. Second is location - near enough to the city center but far enough from the crowds. Third was the staff - everyone was nice, helpful and accommodating - from the front desk who helped us book our meals and gave us tips on what to do around town; to the housekeeping who always kept our room clean and the kitchen who served great breakfasts- I love their coffee! Fourth was the strong internet - my husband needed to work sometimes and he was using their network and it was all okay. Last is the hotel itself - it has a lovely courtyard where you can sit and enjoy the open air - was too cold for me but the other guests were sunning themselves, the common sitting areas were cozy and the candles around the hotel makes it feel so warm and comfy.
If you stay in Evora, suggest you stay in this hotel

Loved it!! So cute, Demish was so helpful when we checked in. Our room was great and breakfast was nice. I was most happy that they served brewed coffee like back home in the United States.

Great one night stay while stopping through Evora. Staff very kind. Oriented us to town. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. Unique property because it was an old olive oil press. The breakfast was amazing. They will make you coffee of your choice and eggs any style. They also assisted with getting dinner reservations. Highly recommend when in Evora!

UPDATE: Our stay in December was even better than we expected. The hotel is first class without being stuffy - comfortable, cozy, and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, ruins, etc. The best feature of this hotel is the people - everyone there cares about the comfort and well-being of the guests. Everyone at the front desk is a concierge, and can book tours, suggest where to eat, provide directions, take care of laundry, and even remind you where you are supposed to be when you are so tired from traveling that you have forgotten. Don't feel like going out for dinner? Light fare is served in the bar/living room area until about 10 pm, and it is all delicious (especially the curry/chick pea soup). Parking is on-site, and there is a courtyard with table and chairs to enjoy in nice weather. Breakfast is the best in Portugal: a buffet that is far from standard (everything is local and homemade), as well as eggs, etc., cooked to order, and American-style coffee. I have already recommended this hotel to several friends, and hope to visit again some day.

We have not yet stayed at this hotel; our booking is for December 2019. This review is to share the information about the service at this hotel so far: the people at the hotel have gone out of their way to provide information regarding restaurants, tours, and places of interest. They have corrected some wrong information I had (found due to Internet research), confirmed wine tour bookings, and made other arrangements for us ... Especially helpful during the holiday season. We can't wait to actually visit!

A nice and clean boutique hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. We reserved a room with a terrance and felt cozy. The location is also great, just a bit out of the core but still within the walking distance.

Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and located perfectly just inside the wall. Lucy was a wonderful resource for local tips and even booked a table for us so we wouldn't miss the meal we had our hearts set on. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it for anyone with Evora on their itinerary.

Delightful hotel right near the walls of the city. Pretty patio with tables and chairs surrounded by plants. Great place to relax over a drink or a meal and make friends with fellow travellers. Rooms were spacious and full of light, clean and in good conditions.
