A wonderful place surrounded by nature! Rural animals like goats, cats, horses can be seen everywhere making up for a lovely scenery to appreciate while having your lunch. Meals taste wonderfully and the service is top notch. It's like a gourmet restaurant but with very generous portions (in fact, so much so I felt filled during the following hours). Be sure to call and reserve your place when lunching here as this restaurant is often fully booked.

Went for lunch, which is a three course set meal with options for each course. My wife and I chose different options and everything was very well prepared and extremely tasty. Beautiful location with a slightly rustic feel. Going back for my upcoming birthday dinner.

Really nice local in the hills above Alcobaçar. You park below the restaurant in a stable then walk up a path to the restaurant. We had the moonfish with risotto and the house style prawns. We also had the mixed entrees and for dessert I had the flan and my partner had the 3 mini desserts - creme brulee, pannacotta and mousse. Very nice, would go back.

Went for the lunch special for the first time. 3 course menu for under $15. Soup, beef medallions with veggie and dessert. What a bargain! And sooo delish! Had to come back for dinner another day. Highly recommend.

Amazing food. I'd go back and try everything on their menu if I had the time. The variety starters were delicious, as were the moonfish and risotto and the duck and fries. Like another reviewer said, dessert is not to be missed. I had the sampler/mini set. It's the perfect balance, not too sweet like some other places.
Lunch might be better due to having a view but dinner was all I had time for and it was amazing even without the view.

Set atop a picturesque hill surrounded by farm animals and wildlife. A true hidden gem in the area. Food matches the atmosphere and decor, remarkable.

Can’t rave enough about this place. The definition of hidden gem, I once again reluctantly review it and give 5 stars simply because I selfishly don’t people to know about this place, but the owners deserve all the success they are getting. The Secretos Ibericos (Black Pig / Pata Negra) dish at a ridiculously inexpensive 13 Euros along with the 2-3 Euro desserts means you can have a delicious meal without breaking the bank in an incredible setting overlooking the town of Alcobaça. Can’t recommend it enough, reserve though, it’s getting too popular.

Fantastic food good helpings and excellent service, will be taking people there when they come on holiday.

This is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the hills above Alcobaça you can’t go wrong. Lovely appetizers and balanced well flavored main courses. A great choice.

One of the best meals that we had in Portugal. During the week they only offer the executive menu where get nice appetizer board, a selection of entrees (we hade almost 10 options) and a drink for $12.5 euros. The food was great, the chef is creative and gives the Portuguese dishes a special touch. For desert we had a sample of deserts, 3 small portions that we couldn't finish, all really good. If you are in the area go there, but call in advance to make a reservation, we went on a Thursday for lunch and they were returning people without a reservation after a while as the waiting line was already to long. Great place.

Sooo delicious! We had a perfect evening. The service was very attentively and the food was awesome! As dessert I recommend the lime pie.

Excellent food, great environment and very good service. Price is very fair for the quality. Location is totally country side, so you need a car to go there. Probably one of the best restaurants in the region. Menu is similar for the last years but it's a way of assuring the excellence in the food quality. Totally recommended.

Really lovely food, location and service. Highly recommended. The dinner menu is fabulous and they serve some of the best steak we have eaten in Portugal. One of the few restaurants that can cook a well done steak without cremating it. The starters are delicious. Everything is beautifully served. The restaurant sits on a high point so there are wonderful views from the front which makes for an all around enjoyable dining experience.

Fabulous venue, great set lunch selection which changes daily, four of us each had something different and each was well cooked and presented and tasted great. Desserts were again well presented and tasty, would recommend you book to avoid disappointment, we will definitely be back to try more.

This is a truly magical place perched high on a hill overlooking the picturesque countryside. The food here is astonishingly good -- fresh, delicious, inventive, and perfectly prepared by a master chef. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed to maximize the awesome view. It is a cozy, unpretentious place in which you will feel instantly relaxed and at home. The wine list is exceptional, the desserts are amazing, prices are reasonable, and the servers are the most professional and gracious you will ever encounter. Just superb!
