The food is out of this world !! You can carefully see the amount of love and dedication they put in each plate !! We tried most of the dishes, from meat to fish and all of them were outstanding!! 9/10 ... Staff are really polite and helpful and the dining room is cosy and beautiful. We will come back 100%. If you are in a big group I advise you to book first .

It has been a wonderful experience eating here. The food that Fabio super kindly suggested us was delicious.
We spent a lovely time not only for the amazing food, but mostly for the service. It’s not easy to find someone so committed in making customers happy as Fabio did. Highly recommend! (Italian-approved)

After a week in Alcobaça, we finally made it here (after many recommendations from locals). Amazing food and terrific staff. English menus for those still struggling with Portuguese. Highly recommended!
They only had one vegetarian option, but it looked pretty good! Apparently it changes by the day.
(They have limited outdoor seating.)

Unmissable place in the centre of Alcobaça, showcasing the very best traditional Portuguese food prepared with mastery, skill, and technique. Many restaurants offer one or two good versions of a traditional dish based on a recipe passed down through the generations, but they almost invariably fail to hit the same heights when expanding their offer. Not so here; they understand where these dishes originate but also deliver quality at the level a modern restaurant is expected to, without falling into the trap of trying to deconstruct what belongs together. Highly recommended if you want to understand what traditional Portuguese food should look like.

Restaurant located in the heart of Alcobaça, less than 5 minutes away from the main church. This is a Michelin awarded restaurant and thus expect a more dedicated attention and service. The plates were simply great and the portion size was sufficient to fill us up. It was definitely an experience worth having and the prices were within reach. We definitely loved the Bacalhau as natas, it was superb. We chose for entrée a cheese platter which was very good and the prosciutto which was just average.

This is a hidden gem in a narrow street across the Alcoabaça monastry entrence. The service is absolutely perfect. If you plan a visit to batalha monastery make sure to add this place as lunch stop.

Nice restaurant a little hidden in a small street directly across the square on opposite of the monastery. We had a sectional of appetizers with a section of bread as starter with a glass of red and rosé house wine. As main course the beef of the house and the octopus stew with sweet potato. Both were tasty, although the beef was not medium as requested and a bit too salty. They have a nice selection of Portuguese desserts to choice from. Recommendable. Good service. With coffee and a second glass of house wine we ended up to a total of €63 for 2 persons.

The pork entree with alcobaca apples is mind bogglingly good, one of the best pork dishes I’ve ever had. The entrecôte was pretty chewy and overrated. Truffle mashed potatoes were great. Raspberry tart was incredible, apple crumb cake was just ok/served cold 😞
Phenomenal wine recommendation, one my favorites since coming to Portugal. Service was ok/solid.

The octopus was the most tender, and the starter platter was all delecious things to combine. Very nice interior and atmosphere, thank you!

Awesome little spot. Hidden gem. Some of the best food we had in Portugal, authentic and incredibly well cooked. Still with the crazy reasonable prices. Would have a Michelin star anywhere else

One of those places that make an experience perfect. From the food, the staff, the decorations, the wide range of wine and beverage selections.
Generous portions of otherworldly cuisine.

Amazing place! we loved it all, the food, the service and the place itself. The octopus was the tenderest I ever tried.

A well deserved 5 stars.
The best meal I've had in a while. Traditionally Portuguese and absolutely delicious

This was the absolute best bacalhau I've had during a 12-day vacation in Portugal (and I ate a lot of bacalhau during the trip). This place is a must go!! Service is great! You won't regret it!

One of the best meats I had in Portugal - and the dessert is worth its prizes. Of you are foodie, just stop by.

Been here two times and on both occasions we had a very good experience. Food is very flavorful. If you're looking for a very good Portuguese style restaurant, we can vouch for this place (we're Portuguese ourselves). One of us is vegan and although they don't offer a vegan dish, they do have roasted vegetables side that is to die for and with a side salad, olives, rice and or fries you can put together a very good vegan dish yourself. Don't forget to ask for bread and some olive oil to dip the bread. The space inside is well decorated that remounts to traditional Portuguese villa/farm house style. The prices are good for the quality of food presented but take in mind that it is above average for this region. Good for families. Try to make a reservation because it is usually packed.

Incredible food and excellent service. Staff was great, both in being helpful and recommendations. Definitely worth a visit - must try "açorda bacalhau"! Cheers
