Taberna Sem Regras

The fish as well as the meat dishes were exceptional good. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes the impossible possible. My wife desired a Sangria which is not on their menu and the staff went off and got everything that was needed. Wine selection is fabulous. We had an highly enjoyable evening! Thanks a lot to the wonderful team!

Good location by the monastery, friendly staff and good food. Our fried octopus was tasty but a bit on the rare side for me. The shrimp (gambas a taberna) was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked.

We loved this restaurant. I very highly recommend it, because it's a lot more than food. It is an integral experience where the attention to detail is palpable, the passion for good savory meals is combined with excellent produce and delicate elaboration. We loved it. Just go, and try it. I'm sure you'll be as enchanted as we were.

Excellent food, superb wine and top service. We had the scallops for starters, freshly sourced from nearby Nazaré. Best scallops I have ever had. For mains we enjoyed the Wagyu beef and pork and lamb chops plus recommended wine - perfectly paired. Both Catharina and Pio know exactly what they are talking about and are super friendly. Highly recommend.

Amazing place which we discovered by chance. Never eaten scallops this tasty, and the service was superb. We went back twice during our stay and will definitely come back again!

"PUTTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT":

Recently I noticed a bad review from a Constance Castle....... She has no etiquette, manners, or common decency. She came as a guest of mine to the best restaurant around. The food is superb, well-presented, plenty of it and cooked to perfection. However, this aforementioned guest, was totally out of order ... because of drinking too much, and I felt obliged to apologise to the owners on her behalf. I had other guests who flew in from the UK especially to visit this restaurant. They too thought it was great and couldn't fault it.

The service was outstanding, as was the food. Lamb chops were perfectly cooked, slightly over medium and tender with roasted veggies and sides of rice with walnuts and dried fruit. The polvo frito was so delicious with the fresh mayo mixed with lemon and fresh herbs. Wonderful chocolate cake and the starter with gambas, sea snails and assorted breads were yummy and a new experience for us. We also enjoyed a recommended bottle of wine. We definitely plan to go back.

Our favorite place to come to as a family! The whole team works together to serve and prepare amazing food. A must go to in Alcobaca! They have an amazing Port & their champagne selection is AWESOME!

Definitely one to go back to. Very pleasant and quite unique. Reasonably priced, especially considering what we had.

Super découverte. Produits extra frais et de qualité. Les 2 jeunes serveurs sont très gentils, attentionnés et disponibles. Du choix et de bons conseils pour le vin. Prix abordables par rapport aux quantités et à la qualité de la cuisine.

Local maravilhoso, uma descoberta para nós, e mais uma vez comemos numa Taberna que nos surpreendeu bastante, pois a comida é maravilhosa, o atendimento e o ambiente sublimes. Sem dúvida que me surpreendeu muito mais que muitos restaurantes. De r ferir que na foto do peixe só está a metade que eu tirei para o prato 😁 o restante e os acompanhamentos estão noutra travessa da qual não me lembrei de tirar foto antes. Mas acreditem que eram muito bem servido.

Adoramos conhecer este local. Comida fantástica sem nada para reclamar e atendimento de primeira.
