Flor dos Jerónimos

We had such an awesome time at this family owned restaurant! You know you’ve come to the right place when locals are regular customers. Part of the fun of traveling is meeting wonderful locals who are happy to share their culture with you despite the language barrier which we found in this gem of a place. It all started with hubby asking the table next to us what they were drinking and ended with fun “Saúde (?cheers)” together.

Dont be intimidated by the stern patriarch of this joint, he really has a big heart. After chatting about his kids, we clicked with our universal concerns & love for our kids. Magdelena (?), his daughter who helps out the family business surprised us with her british accent:) she is gracious, kind and hospitable with a beautiful smile.

And now the food… the sea bream & sardines were super delicious and moist. You can tell the chef /matriarch puts a lot of love in her cooking. If you can handle spice, get her home made chili sauce. The bubbly Sangria was the best here with whole black raspberries.
You really feel like part of the family eating here!

Oh and we sat outside in the corner with an amazing view of Jeronimos monastery.

Fantastic and simple food! Definitely recommend the fish dishes over meat. Probably best desserts, but mains and starters were fantastic!

Some of the most amazing food I have had in Portugal! The flavor was incredible and so were the portions. I can’t say enough about the hospitality, everyone was so kind and sweet and took great care of us. The house piri-piri sauce was amazing and tha chef was so kind to give me some to take home. Literally the most incredible sauce- she needs to sell it! Come here and you won’t be disappointed :)

Amazing little local place near the monastery. Service was awesome, even gave me and my friends recommendations for Lisbon. Highly recommened the Bacalhau à brás. Not many veggie options though. 10/10

The octopus was very delicious! I was worried about those negative reviews, but everything went fine, so my recommendations :)

Perfect location for a lunch after sightseeing. The hot sauce is so good but not for sale. Will go back and ask owner next time.

Lovely little restaurant right outside the famous Mosteiro dos Gerónimos. The wait staff were very nice. I ate in the upstairs area. The food was very affordable and fresh. I ordered the bacalhau à Bras which had salt cod, egg, and batata palha (fried potato sticks). I also ordered a cold glass of vinho verde. Highly recommended place for authentic Portuguese food next to one of the most famous places in Portugal!

If I could score 6 stars, I would…… this place is in a perfect location to rest after touring Belem. I can’t speak highly enough about the service. People watching outside while drinking cold beers and eating quick bites…… nothing better.. at the time of this writing, beers are €1,30 (wow). The place is great but the service and hospitality really wowed me…. Highly recommended.

Unexpected goodness are the best!
Their food is decent priced but amazing. Service was good, food was quick.
Only negative thing was they charge you butter for your bread.

Wanted to try the grilled sardines since I got to lisbon and finally got it here . Basic and delicious. Chicken was equally good .

Myself and my girlfriend visited on Sunday and sat outdoors and had such a pleasant experience.

Excellent food and service in a lovely location near the Jerónimos Monastery.

We had the Bacalhau and it was delicious as well as well as Chouriço Assado in a clay pot which was amazing!

Beautiful little restaurant right in town. Staff is very friendly and the food was really good too! The place to go on the little downtown strip! We will definitely return for drinks and food after our next lisbon half marathon☺

Another awesome espresso

Grab a pastry (pastel de nata) from “Pasteis de Belem” next door (usually very crowded) and come to here for their espresso. Very generous staff and an espresso that makes the flavor of the pastel-de-nata come alive.
