The food was soooo good! I was on a layover in Lisbon and decided to try this place for lunch and wasn’t disappointed! Super fast, friendly service, and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Food tasty, but no atmosphere. Service good as everywhere else. We order cod in cream which was very tasty and Owen Vaele which was OK but get cold really quick

Nice and comfortable portuguese restaurant, they have also vegetarian options. The waitress was very kind , really good service.

Quality portugese food and very good service. I was treated in a decent manner from entering the restaurant. Best Bolo de Balacha I had in Lisbon. I highly recommend if you want to have traditional Portugese quisine.

Excellent food.
A bit more expensive than other places I have visited, but the food is worth it.
Special mention to the "salada de polvo", octopus salada it is just delicious, I have tried in other places but here is better.

Authentic Portuguese cuisine makes delicious Portuguese specialties. The waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the chef came out to check if we enjoyed our meal. The head waiter there is a rockstar if a server named Anatoli. He is simply amazing! Quick, efficient and very knowledgeable. We have stayed 8n Lisbon and Porto for 8 days and all the restaurants had good to amazing food but Pateo and Anatoli blew them all away!! Recommended highly!!!❤

Good quality traditional Portuguese food, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

The food was excellent, but I understand why some rate this place lower. It was busy and you could feel the staff rushing. Only when people cleared out the atmosphere changed. The staff were very pleasant and offered great recommendations. The food was great, big portions and fish tasted fresh. They have a signature dish that comes in soup pan, highly recommend.

Even if you are not staying close by, this restaurant is well worth the trip to Lisbon Oriente (you can easily book on their website) for the authentic cuisine, good wine and excellent service.
I had to return after my first visit.
Both the Lombinhos and Vitela no Forno are first class but the Pastel de Bachellauas could do with a little sauce.

We had to check to see if October 10, or the second Monday of October was a holiday in Portugal, because even at 10PM (22:00) the place kept filling up with locals. We had the seafood pasta soup for two - and it was phenomenal and a fraction of what we paid at another high-end restaurant in town. Even though it’s surrounded by gleaming office towers, 5 star hotels and a major transit and shopping hub, the place has the vibe of a family restaurant, and the chef even came out to check on our meal and welcome us. Wow!! If you’re from out of town and want a great Portuguese meal - come here!

I dont think this is worth only 4.1 stars. Most of the complaints are because of ungrateful tourists. The food was fantastic for the price we paid and thats all that matters.

Very nice place, fancy terrasse, great quality for price, very tasty fishes and super friendly service. Great choice :)
