Our host recommended this place for dinner. We have spent a very nice evening here. I ate fresh grilled fish, my girlfriend found a delicious vegan dish. This restaurant is one of the unique places where a meatlover and a vegan are able to eat nicely. Our waiter recommended us a local liqour, which was very good, so we had to reorder it :) In summary, if you want to eat a delicious traditional meal in a restaurant where the service is very friendly and professional, you found the place :)

We enjoyed our dinner at Chaparro. We had Red Snapper that was fresh and a large quantity. We also had the pork and chorizo. Both were excellent and came with potatoes, vegetables and Salad. We also had olives and a litre of house wine. All were excellent and cost €35. An economical and very tasty dinner. The waiter was very attentive. We are walking the Rota Vicentina and enjoyed a hearty dinner

Best meal I had in my last Portugal visit. From what I see .. this is The Restaurant to visit in the village of Odeceixe. Authentic Portuguese regional food - might be the only one here that offers that. Big menu on offer from grilled option to cooked meals. I had octopus salad for starters, sea food bean stew for main (today's dish) and sweet potato roll for dessert. Everything was awesome - has a side note I can say the stew had a sea food:beans ratio of 50/50 - .. has a Portuguese myself you can taste that every thing was fresh (they have a disclaimer on the menu that says that not all sea food/fish migh not be available depending on the fisherman and sea conditions). It's super crowded - I went in August in peak season - so it's recommended to book table. Nice outdoor seating. Average to high prices.

What a great find! Really welcoming team, excellent food, great atmosphere and all at a very honest price. We had the mix grill and the portion was more than generous. The fish was very fresh! Would highly recommend

One of the best Portuguese meals I've ever had. Even the olive oil on the table is delicious. The fish stews are hearty, with generous helpings of seafood and fish. This restaurant is not just a tourist place, also locals go there, which makes the vibe very rustic and comfy. I recommend the fish macaroni with shrimps and the mussels. For dessert I took the nut with honey cake, which was a bit too sweet for my taste, but also good.

Very pleasant experience here, great food, grilled fresh sardines and everything else that we love from the sea. Very friendly service as well. And everything at a very affordable price. We actually did not expect such a nice restaurant in Odeceixe.

This was the most delicious food we have eaten during our holiday. Also the entourage and the staff were lovely and very kind. We will come again!
Tip: the clams and as a dessert different kinds of tarte.

Recommended to us by locals, we had the best dinner for a long time - the squid, long clams and octopus were all fantastic, paired with amazing wine. Staff is polite and attentive even during busy times. I'd recommend you finish the meal with figs, carrot and almond pie and medronhio shot.

The service is good, so is the fish from the grill (da brasa). The prizes are fair. The atmosphere is very nice. The desserts look all delicious. The “bolo de mel e noz” (cake with honey and nuts) alone is worth the visit. Clear recommendation.

Nice patio. Good, friendly service. Had clams and the octopus with sweet potatoes. Nice selection of catch of the day. Good “green” wine. Good dessert - fig, carob and almond pie. Nice digestive shots after dinner. Would recommend.

"Perceves" were a little tiny, but the food was very good, "Abanicos de porco preto" were very tasty.

Fabulous! Seafood galore. Shrimp, razor clams, sardines and everything you could want from a seaside restaurant. Our young waiter Bernardo deserves special mention for his attentiveness and charm. I wish this place was on my doorstep!
