Great seafood restaurant! Our hotel staff recommended this restaurant and I am so glad we tried. We got there a bit early (right at 6pm when they open) because we didn’t make a reservation but were warmly welcomed. We wanted to try locally caught crab and fish and our waiter kindly explained different kinds of crabs and recommended a spider crab which was very tasty. We also shared a char-grilled dourada. They have an outdoor grill at the alfresco. Every dish was fresh and delicious, even the olive oil they provide! Wish I remember the name of the producer. Very nice local seafood restaurant.

Ordered a seafood rice for 2 (crab, shrimp and clams) and it was excellent. The seafood was fresh and tasty! At the end of the meal, the staff offered us some local liquor, very sweet of them.

Most recommendable seafood restaurant if you are in the area!.. family business ran by João Paulo. Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and marvelous food. Fish and seafood are their stars but meat also available. Grill master surely knows his trade! Great desserts and great homemade licquour! Thank YOU JP!
Very average prices. Free parking 🅿. Highly recommended.... Even my dod had a special treatment...Will return for sure 😃

5 stars does not even makes justice to team and cooking of this place. Love the friendlyness and the respect for keeping the fish and flavours as they should, traditional!

There are very very delicious foods. I liked rice with seafood so much! Also, the host treated us to homemade liqueur, which was very nice

Chef JP is a chef with Vision; tradicional gastronomy, that allows us to identify and also recognize all the flavors and scents of the home cooked meals, with a personalized touch in fusion cuisine. Chef João Paulo and his staff are welcoming, professional and so humble that you feel as if you're at family members house.
The combination of flavors, the location, the decorations, the the amplitude of parking, and on and on and on; there's so much that can be said ! I'm so pleased and satisfied, which reality be told is not easily achieved. I sincerely appreciate each and all of the staff and Chef João Paulo; as in what their vision and effort are for Santola Marisqueira, and as people and professionals! I truly and sincerely say Keep up that passion, that love for what you do; most definitely me and mine will return many more times ! I recommend Santola Marisqueira and invite you to go and experience first hand the feast of flavors and dishes that are elaborated with dedication and professional panache!

Lovely place with great food. We were offered our particular fish from a selection of fresh fish in a basket. Not the cheapest place we have eaten at during our last two weeks in The Algarve but well worth a visit

The most friendly staff that cares so much about their customers. Delicious soul food prepared by the owner's mom and wife. Even though we were there during wildfires, they took such good care of us that they even offered us free drinks. Don't miss out on this place: we had oysters and arroz with clams and shrimps. Thank you for the amazing lunch! 🙂

Friendly staff, fresh and tasty food, and a peaceful ambiance - what more can you ask for. Their dishes are generously served with great olive oil. Be sure to get some bread on the side to soak it up.

Went here twice in the space of 4 days during a holiday. The food was excellent both times and the service was very kind and attentive. The sea food was well prepared, fresh and well priced

It´s very good place to take a break, especially if you travel by car through the Portugals West Cost (restaurant is exactly on the way). The owner recommended us very fresh fish, sangria was very tasty. But the best one is - OLIVES! It's the best olives, that we ate in Portugal!
