It was the mast day of my mom visiting me in Portugal and i want to take her to a special place. Food and service surpassed my expectation. The atmosphere couldn't be better, we sit under a tree near an olive and avocado tree. I will come back and recoment this place.

jamon jamon is located right outside the castle walls in obidos, just up the hill from where our air bnb was. we arrived for a late lunch with no reservations and the host (and proprietor?) was extremely friendly and accommodating, found a space and moved around tables and chairs for us despite the restaurant being full. we ordered a selection of tapas to share and everything was tasty, my favorites being the pork cheeks and beans in tempura. house wines were nice and everything came out quickly. would definitely recommend and suggest making reservations beforehand so you’re guaranteed a spot!

Very nice place in the center of Obidos Medieval Town serving tapas and main courses divided in Fish - Meet - Vegetables.
We tried the octopus “a Lagareiro” served in a hot pan with mixed vegetables.
Just note that they use a lot of oil (not a problem for us).
The service is also very kind.

Great food and friendly hospitality! I was suggested to eat the green pepper with my hands instead of a fork. It really tastes much better! haha

Loved this place! It’s right outside the castle walls and is Portuguese tapas. I had the pork cheeks and cheese pastry. Both were delicious. The pork cheeks were super tender and flavorful and the cheese pastry was flaky and rich. The salad was also nice, I loved the nuts for the added crunch. Also, the service was amazing. Highly recommend!

The first night I went, I ordered the pork cheeks and tempura green beans. I loved both dishes but especially the pork cheeks! The house wine was also quite nice. The second evening I ordered a Ukrainian crepe with meat filling, also very tasty! Their caramel pudding was delightful.
I also really enjoyed the service, the best I’ve had in Portugal so far! Very attentive, friendly and accommodating!

Quite frankly one of the best meal I’ve had in Portugal after living here for 2 months. Location is amazing, exceptional staff and food is extremely good. We tried a bunch of tapas and they were all phenomenal. Prices are also very honest. We had one bottle of wine, one large beer, many waters, lots of food and they also gave us free grappa and we paid 88 euros in 4 people. Will be back for sure!

We had a lunch with our friends here visiting the town. The food was delicious - we had cod, octopus and steak, the waiters were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Fantastic local restaurant! Wonderful service. Every dish we got was delicious. Reasonably priced. The melon and prosciutto was a stand out but the risotto, croquettes and peppers were all amazing! Definitely recommend a visit.

Great place to have lunch or dinner. Staff are very nice and give suggestion on the daily dishes. We ordered fried cuttlefish, pork loin with rice and grill seabass. All dishes are made in perfection. We are seated at the terrace and atmosphere is will nice and have a good view to the town. Will coming again. Highly recommend.

Exceptionally friendly staff which was a real highlight of our trip to Obidos! The food was delicious, filling, and good for sharing. We really appreciated being able to bring our cats inside as well :)

Excellent service. Staff speaks English and are attentive. We ordered the dish for the day €10 per dish (pork ribs or seabass) and octopus €17. Bread and olives were €3.50 per set. The dishes were delicious.

We had a great lunch with 2 kids, the service was very friendly, the food was delicious, the place has a really cool authentic vibe. Enjoyed it! Highly recommended

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was great, the waiters very nice and helpful. At the end, instead of giving you the menu, they come with all the deserts so that you can choose by seeing them. Totally recommend this place but don’t forget to book before!
