Perfect in every way! Beautiful and delicious food, excellent service, and a charming, comfortable atmosphere!

We chose the 5 course tasting menu, and it was awesome! Every dish was unique, and delivered! Wine pairings were thoughtful and matched perfectly!

A nice a la carte menu is available, as are excellent wines for every palate.

A great restaurant that should not be missed!

Excellent all around. Friendly service with perfect English, great food. The steak was some of the best we have had, and the scallops were definitely the best ever. Probably the best restaurant in Évora.

Everything we had was exceptional. Flavors were just delightful. Our server Mercy was wonderful. The chef was very helpful and the entire experience was a pleasure.

We booked in advance and we’re not disappointed. A wonderful meal, excellent service and a very helpful sommelier ensured that we made the most of Portuguese red wine and red and white port for desert and aperitif. Highly recommend.

Wow - one of the best meals of my life. I had the three-course tasting menu and each dish was absolutely beautiful and so delicious. My favourite was a fish, pork sausage and shredded potato dish. The staff were also wonderful - very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Thank you Origens for a lovely dinner!

We had the 3-course tasting menu which they change constantly since it's farm-to-table. The food was really good, savory, and home-cooked flavor but great presentation. The place is nice and cozy, small with an open kitchen, service was friendly and the wine recommendations were on point. It was our second visit and the chef passed to the table to say hello and they gave sweet wine on the house.

I hope for you this place is in your future !

We shared two beginning dishes and one main entrée. Perfect amount of food. Red wine was delightful and tasted nice. The black pork cheek and the mushroom were the best foods I’ve had since Porto. Also maybe best food ever. Our server was very good.

We were walking frozen through the evening streets of Evora and quite by chance went to warm up and dine in this wonderful place💓 we were incredibly lucky to get the last unreserved table! The food was amazingly delicious with a beautiful presentation and unusual sauces👌❤‍🔥 The waitress helped with the selection of suitable wines for each dish, and the chef personally came out at the end of the evening to chat and treat us with amazing wine. All ingredients of dishes and wine are strictly local according to the principle of "zero kilometer". I strongly advise you to go to this restaurant - you will definitely get a new experience and new impressions👌

This is a small & very popular restaurant... you will need to book.

We chose the tasting menu, wine included. It was a tantalising gastronomic journey. Small team, in a small kitchen serve big and wonderful flavours. The plates were served with explanation & wines to tease our taste buds. Thanks for the journey - book & journey through the taster menu 😀

If we could rate this as even more than 5 stars we would!
The service is exceptional, we were treated so kindly and courteously. The servers were also very knowledgeable and could speak fluent English.
The beef tenderloin was the best steak we had ever eaten, the chef comes out with certain dishes and explains a little about them, this beef in particular was from a breed of cows that were brought to this area in Roman times. We were also shown a pamphlet about the meat after we expressed interest.

Overall a wonderful experience…the food is phenomenal! The wine is amazing. We will make a stop here every time we pass through Portugal!

When booking they asked if it was a special occasion which it was and the chef gave us a
a complimentary dessert with a candle :)

Price wise it is on the higher side however that should be expected, for the quality of food and service you receive.

The food was fantastic. I recommend two appetizers and two mains or some combination of four dishes when defining for two. Even the bread, olive and carrot plate was really good. The scallops were sensational, the pear appetizer was exquisite, and the lamb was well worth the wait. Call ahead to make sure they have space. We sat at the back which was pretty cool, we got to watch them prepare the dishes with care and precision. It added to the overall experience of the meal.

Exceptional, one of the top 5 meals of my life. Every course was decadent, delicious, and unique. We were very glad to “trust the Somm” with the wine pairings. Worth a trip to Evora on its own!

Probably the best restaurant in Évora. The wine selection was great (even those that are served by the glass), and the food was amazing. Fell in love with the creamy potato & leek dish.

The best restaurant in the whole trip. The chef is the one who serves you and the food is amazing. Great wine pairings and good recommendations from the staff.

Reserve in advance as the place is tiny!

Hands down one of the best dining experiences we've had anywhere. Top notch food in a relaxed, welcoming environment. We went for the 5 course tasting menu, and it was worth every penny. The dishes were locally sourced, thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious; the wine pairings equally so, and they were so thoughtful to come up with creative non-alcoholic pairings for a member of our group. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! A huge "thank you" and "congratulations" to Chef Gonçalo Quelroz & his team.

Very good service and attention to detail. Restaurant has about 20 covers so quite intimate also. Food was authentic, full of flavour and went down perfectly with the local Alentejo wines. Must try!

Just go!
We went for lunch and had the Chef's 3 course menu, although we ended up having more.
We started with bread/oil/olives/roasted chickpeas, then we had a filo cheese roll with a red wine reduction and then the starter was a pork rosti type of dish, followed by beef cheeks, mash and chard, with a consommé type of gravy. Dessert was orange cake, ice cream and a quince jam, with peanuts.
All of this was €35 a head without drinks.
You could see your food being cooked and you will not be disappointed.
The staff were multi lingual, very polite and knowledgeable about their food and proud it was all locally produced.
Thoroughly recommended!
