We really had awful weather (storm) but even with the rain I can say it's worth to see! Beautiful place, thanks to the storm we were alone there we had time to see everything 😅 Amazing oranges, beautiful sculptures and fountains make a great atmosphere... 3€ for entrance is ok price.

Exquisite. It's absolutely worth a detour to visit. There is so much history and beauty here, and the entry fee is a tiny €3.

A pretty garden with small fountain and lakes with an abundance of statues. It is located at the back of the old palace that served as the residence of several bishops of Guarda and later those of Castelo Branco. The statues are representing many figures, from kings and bishops to the symbol of each month or elements like fire. It is also adjacent to the Francisco Tavares Proença Júnior Museum which was the residence of the bishops. I recommend visiting this lovely park to everyone.
The explanations are in Portuguese and also in English. Opening Hours: April to September: 09h00-19h00;October to March 09h00-17h00. Entrance fee: 2€.

This is how to look after a garden. Beautiful water features very well put together with flowers and pruned foliage. Statues for days and more water features. All this for 2 euros an adult....get in. Worth if for the photos alone. The public park opposite is a gem too.

A truly wonderful park. Well kept, colorful, wide space, lovely natural and man-made decoration. A playground area for children, a cafe makes of it a good meeting place, and then woods area offers good shade from the harsher sun.

It's a small but cute garden with funky statues of saints, kings, seasons, continents, zodiac, and concepts (like justice, courage, faith etc.) tucked in between the greenery. The place where you can make beautiful pictures, but not to sit with a cup of coffee or have a picnic.

Quite nice space. It is not very big but there is lot of detail in the park with many statues, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed.

A lovely place for a quiet visit. The gardens are exceptionally well maintained. There are water features everywhere you turn. Very historic and very peaceful. Signage is very well done, in 3 languages including English and Portuguese. I forgot to note the other one but suspect French. There is a nominal entry fee which is well worth the money. Toilet facilities, as with most in this country, are lovely and fresh and clean.

Beautiful gardens and generally well looked after with beautiful ponds and mazes. Entrance is 2 euros which isn't bad. You can spend 30 minutes here or chill for a for hours depending on your mood. Not many shady places to sit however so take a hat.

Beautifully restored, and well maintained gardens. We loved the sculptures, as well as the intricate and cleverly designed areas. Parking is a bit of a problem and not all areas in the garden are accessible for wheelchair of prams.

The entrance fee is 2€, but is well worthy it. The gardens are simple amazing. You will see some statues about Portuguese history and some representing known concepts, like zodiac signs, religious concepts, etc. Also, you get beautiful landscapes for photos!

It is worth a visit if you want to relax, stroll through the garden and be amazed by the engineering of the folks of days gone by.
It is free to enter the lower area but the grand garden is 2euros.
