Cantt Library

Lansdowne Trust Library, commonly known as Cantonment General Library Rawalpindi has been a prominent landmark for the past 150 years. Located adjacent to Odeon Cinema and Shah Baloot Park on Mall road, it has attracted visitors and readers alike. Despite renovations funded by former presidents Gen Ziaul Haq and Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari, the library's main hall was converted into a computer section without approval from the Lansdowne Trust, resulting in the removal of its name from the building. Founded in 1891 by Sardar Kirpal Singh Rai Bahadar and Sardar Sujan Singh Rai Bahadar, the library, park, and cinema were established under the trust's initiative to provide entertainment and education. Despite being set on fire in 1980s, the library sustains its operations through rental income from the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, it has approximately 50,000 books in English, Urdu, and Persian, alongside invaluable manuscripts.

Mostly quite and good place to study
Although it closes at 3:00 instead of 5:00 which was a little disappointing , there is internet but the internet speed is very slow still not complaining cause it's free 10/8 for cantt library
