Birdland Beach Resort

Very unique outdoorsy jungle beach feel. The hosts are really nice!, delicious dinner from a large variety on the menu.
The place is an outdoor experience “The Loft” rooms. Rustic and fun experience.
Need to climb very sturdy ladders for this room option, others don’t require it I believe.
Wifi works, super sweet dogs, … it’s fun!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the magnificent hotel, where every aspect of my experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the grand lobby, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who provided exceptional service throughout my stay. The luxurious room boasted elegant decor, plush furnishings, and state-of-the-art amenities, ensuring my comfort and relaxation. The hotel's exquisite dining options left me spoilt for choice, with a range of delectable cuisines expertly prepared by talented chefs. Lastly, the hotel's spa and wellness facilities provided a haven of tranquility, allowing me to unwind and rejuvenate in the most indulgent manner. Overall, this 5-star hotel provided an unforgettable experience that was nothing short of perfection.

Not your typical resort. It's very Bali but a large two hectare beach front place. If you traveled Southeast Asia, you can quickly recognise the beach bean bags from Seminyak beach, the Hoian lanterns from Vietnam, the table runners from Thailand, the bed runners from Kampuchea, and paintings from Laos. We love the nature inspired vibe and their logo and motto the "Do Nothing Club." We became instant members in our one week staynof absolutely doing nothing but just putting around Bolinao in their e bikes and bamboo tricycle.

With a few hours away from Manila, this is a nice 2 day escape from all the things happening back home. A rustic feel together with good food and drinks, nice sunset, is what we needed to recharge and face all the adversities again.

Me and my girlfriend are currently staying here and we love it so much we tried to book another night in the cove but it’s fully booked. We stayed in the beach tree house for 2 nights. It’s a very rustic place, we love the eco friendly vibe and being at peace with nature. They definitely could make a few little changes to make the experience even better / more efficient but this doesn’t take away from how good the place is. I think they will always be making some kind of improvements and building whenever you stay here but it’s very quiet and doesn’t start till late morning and would not affect your stay. The pool is fresh sea water being pumped in constantly, you may finds some leave in the pool but we just removed them. They do clean it after breakfast each morning. The staff are all lovely and friendly. I advise pre booking dinner, service is slow but this is because everything and I mean everything is made freshly in the kitchen. Like everywhere in Philippines the chicken is on the bone (not sure where all the breast goes I’ve never had it anywhere).
If I could change anything it would be the law on smoking the herb here. Would be perfect for chilling on the beach ect but that’s nothing to do with the resort.
Highly recommend and I will defiantly be visiting again.

Rustic. Romantic. Handmade with love by owners Michael and Joanna, but continually evolving, this seaside resort is the ultimate in calm and friendly.

Michael's woodwork and Joanna's "foodcraft" are the canvas upon which this little paradise in Bolinao (NW tip of Luzon) was created. A little rugged. A lot of nature's best.

Had a relaxing vacation with family here for two weeks. We stayed in one of the kubo with its own toilet. Internet was stable most of the time so it’s really ideal for those who want to work from home. They have a saltwater pool and they also have the beach front for you to swim. Swimming in the rain is great but the winds can get really strong too and those in the kubo can really get wet. There is a restaurant inside but it is on the expensive side. However, they offer locally sourced ingredients in their menu which is also an experience. The only thing we would not recommend is the giant clam experience since you have to pay P1000 for a group of three. You can just use the balsa to swim in this area. Also, the giant clams are not that many for it to be an attraction. Inform the owners if you’re planning to go to Bolinao falls 1 because they have a private spot there where you can comfortably leave your belongings while exploring the falls. You still need to be careful with your valuables as they are not responsible for your stuff. Cooking is advised as there are not many nearby restaurants. Bring your own utensils, pots and pan. Good opportunity to explore Bolinao Public Market for your fresh produce needs.

Was able to score a discounted kubo accomodation here thru agoda. Its good ti CAtch promos, regular rates can be pricey, but the serenity and susatainability of the place is awesome. Im if not mistaken, ni chemicals for the pool water, you can be surrounded by trees, rocks, bamboo platforms and the like.. Lucky if you can catch jazz festivities here. They also have their own restaurant

Despite visiting in the midst of a storm, I still very much appreciate Birdland Beach Club. Beautiful, well thought out designs that gave off a super "forest on an island" feel. For anyone who wants to be fully immersed in Nature, this is the place for you.

This place is a real treat. Mike the owner is incredibly friendly - and what a character! I love the family atmosphere, it really feels like more than just a resort. The resort is on the beach front, has a swimming pool that lights up at night and has a plethora of wildlife in its surroundings (including goats ;)) I found the food to be a little pricey but still very good although the cat is quite annoying!

There is a variety of quirky rooms to choose from, from a regular hotel room to having a toilet visible through a big pane of glass viewing the sea. The shops are a short tricycle ride away which they can organise for you. The best thing for me about this place is that they are able to assist with your itinerary and arrange for you to be taken to some wonderful local spots at very short notice. The staff are lovely and helpful. I would recommend this place and I hope to be returning in the future for a longer stay.

We had the best time at the Birdlamd Beach Club. I stayed with a friend for 5 nights and it felt like an escape from the rest of the world. The owners are incredibly! They drove us to the next city and the bus station (for free), they gave us discounts, made sashimi for us and we loved charting to them in the evening or during the day. The staff is really friendly and the food is very, very good. The rooms are pretty basic but the view is insane! I loved this place because it made me feel like I have a second home in the Philippines and I will 100% come back if I'm in the Philippines again.

My favorite eco resort in the world. They have full bar and restaurant, private beach with snorkeling, kayak, paddleboard. Owners Michael's and Joanna are very kind.

Birdland is a spectacular resort, a real change of pace for the Bolinao area. I was torn whether to write this review or to try and keep it a secret for friends and family, but the owners are too cool and deserve all the success they can get. The owners, Mike and Jo have a beautiful and low key resort with a delicious restaurant and very personable service. The vistas are amazing, and the whole experience feels very natural and organic. You can tell they care about their business as they are hands on in all aspects. Highly recommend the activities offered here, and the food.

This is a very nice place to getaway and relax to. The architecture of the rooms are so unique and very grammable. A perfect place to do photoshoots too. And did I mention, it's very pet friendly!!! So happy I got to bring my fluffs
Sadly not for swimming because Patar Beach is known for it's low tide and you have to walk for miles to reach deeper waters. And pool was too cold for me

During booking there were discrepancies in the published rate and the actual charging but was cleared directly by the owner, Michael. It was the weekend vs. the weekday rates. Upon arrival in Bolinao, if you're commuting, they will pick you up using a bamboo tricycle which is really unique. A good first impression. Resort was 5 minutes away from the city. Upon check in, you need to give a 3,000 security deposit. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. They offer welcome drinks. There were good architecture, great nature view. Pool was not clean but it might be because it's open and leaves and whatnot just falls in it.  There is free kayaking, swimming area by the beach, lots of dogs. Food was pricey but it was delicious. Serving is good for 3 pax. It is better to book in Agoda (with free breakfast) instead of their own website (via Wix).We availed of the Bamboo tricycle tour for 1,595php online when we booked the room.  However, when we arrive the tour was only 1,500php. Another minor discrepancy in the published rates. Tour includes Patar White Beach, Cape Bolinao Lighthouse, Ruins, Enchanted cave, Bolinao Falls 1 and 2 (3 if you still have time) . Owner allowed us to check out late since we're out on tour. We checked out at 4pm and asked them to get us a tricycle to the city center. All in all I give the resort a 4.5 stars. Improvement on the cleanliness of the pool and improved hospitality of the lady manager (all other staff are really nice especially the owner and his family).

A nice little gem in this part of Northern Luzon. Definitely will come back. Great chef and staff goes out their way to accommodate your needs like picking you up from the bus station and carrying the kayaks to the beach. definitely will recommend to friends and family ..

Kudos to the owners who thought of the resort's concept. You'll never have a dull moment here, they offer activities that you can do during your stay. The food is good and health another good thing about it is they grow their own produce.
The staff is ever helpful and the resident dogs Corby, Kaydee, Strong and Tigger are friendly too!

Eco-friendly from the food, place and their products. This beach club is perfect if you want to get away from the bustling city life. They have cabanas which you can freely use to view the West Philippine Sea. And the owners are so welcoming, they'd be one of the many reasons why you would want to extend your stay.

An eco friendly resort on a cliff over the sea. The owners are friendly and very helpful. A choice of rooms with views and a restaurant with both western and eastern foods cooked by experienced chefs. A delight to stay. The sunsets are amazing.
