Lake Danao Natural Park

I love that they did not build a lot of man made facilities around the lake that would otherwise destroy or upset the ecosystem. It was very cool when we went there.

Clean, tranquil lake. Good thing no recreational and other activities are allowed.

The cottages were pretty nice, and the view was amazing. I wish though there was another park on the other side of the lake.

One of the best natural attractions ever. I myself am a nature lover, especially of lakes, and the view is just as majestic. Definitely a must-go whenever visiting Ormoc/Leyte. Make sure likewise to chill-out at their floating cottages!

The place is so beautiful, you can see the mountains surrounded the lake which is still full of trees. The caregivers are friendly, you can explore the place all day the Entrance fee only cost ₱50 which is affordable when you're with a senior citizen companion and the driver both of them don't need to pay. Overall the place is worth to visit, although there's no proper comfort room (that's the only problem I've encountered) but overall it's a nice place to visit 🙂

Clean! That's my most important requirement for nature parks. They have floating cottages and it's not a "quiet, serene" spot because there's karaoke. But the view is great of course and the restrooms are clean although not pwd friendly. There's a parking spot at the entrance which is good for carowners but I'm not sure if the place is easily accessible to commuters. There's also an environmental fee from DENR.

One of Ormoc's go to places for tourists. Nature friendly spot. It's always best to chill on a floating cottage and go kayaking or a little dip on the lake's cold waters. This place also have a camping ground and a view deck.

As always, it's beautiful. Take home all your rubbish and leave nothing but memories. Buy some local food at food stalls. Fern salad is the best.

Tranquil, serene, beautiful! The lake is calm & surrounded by hills & greens. You can rent a floating cottage which can be brought to the center of the lake. You xan bring food, picnic style, and/or order from a nearby stalls at very reasonable price, amd they will deluver them to your cottage. We ordered Tab (shellfish) cooked crunchy, it was very delicious! Parking space available on a first come first served basis. You can swin in the lake or rent a kayak or simply lay back & relax in the middle of calming surroundings.

The place is awesome. They should however put more public transpo there. Also check the legality of the "association dues" being collected from visitors. There is no receipt and separate from the entrance fee collected by CENRO.

Very good place to visit specially if you really want to relax at enjoy the nature.

very serene surrounded with verdant forests. this can appease any weary soul...cool & relaxing. Call or text ahead, or come early to make sure you can still enter the national park. expect recently imposed Php 50 entrance fee. Try the pako fern dishes.
