City Garden GRAND Hotel Makati

Absolutely lived it, great place for unwinding from a stressful life. Was able to relax for days on rooftop deckchairs around the pool and restaurant. View was amazing, a 360 degree view of Manila which was even better at sunset. Staff were exceptional, nothing is perfect in life, so I have no grievances. Had the best massage ever there ever. A great start to my Philippine adventure. Might get to stop on the way back.

Draft beer prices are a little steep but worth it for the view. Make sure to sit upstairs on the highest level which is usually less busy than the pool level. Their pool area can get a little bit too busy and is too close to the restaurant.

Staff are very friendly and eager to please. No hassles getting a table without a reservation. But fo for that top level as it's much better than the level below.

Much better than I'M Hotel bar across the street.

Stopped in this hotel for 4 nights and then another 3 nights a couple of weeks later, and thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it. Good clean rooms, good food and good service. Excellent views from the rooftop bar and swimming pool too. In a good central location for exploring Manila. I plan on staying there again someday

After the huge disappointment of staying at the renowned sofitel I didn't arrive at City Garden grand with very high expectations but how wrong I was, I absolutely loved my stay here as did my family, great location with easy access to many attractions in the greater manila area, very tidy clean room, the pool and roof top area are fantastic.

The hotel service is perfect, staff are friendly and attentive without being annoying and in your face, other hotels I stayed at I couldn't relax without a constant yes sir, no sir flow of submissive staff grovelling to me in a hotel that appear very overstaffed but seemingly no rush to get anything done, this place was 10 times more efficient with half the staff and the perfect level of service.

Anyway, book this place you wont regret it, this will be my go to whenever I go to manila.

I had a perfect stay with my family in this hotel for New Years’. Kind staff and complete amenities. Rooms are very clean and had a really nice view. We were able to request for some items missing and they were able to deliver. Hotel is near to some good restaurants and there’s also a nearby mall, 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Thanks for the great service City Garden Grand!

Only one night here but excellent hotel. Bedroom very comfortable, food in rooftop restaurant really good (plus amazing view of Manila). Loved swimming pool and hot tub. Breakfast was superb. Staff lovely. Highly recommended

Very luxurous hotel, didn't expect that. The rooftop restaurant is really AMAZING! The Pool is awesome, especially because its wasn't crowded at all. You can't go wrong with breakfast, they have Almost everything. Even sushi, schnitzel etc.

-Lifts, I’ve seen lots of negative comments about the lifts but I personally had no issue and found all wait times to be reasonable

Con’s
-Kids were constantly jumping in and out of the jacuzzi without parents supervising them or if the parents were there little attention was paid / no comment made by staff to parents.
-Parents of the kids brought Bluetooth speakers to the pool and played music while there was live music going, again some comment by the hotel staff would’ve been appreciated
I get hotels are for everyone and kids are kids but when you’re at a nicer place you hope that they won’t be jumping in and out of a space roughly 2meters long. On the other hand if you have a family with kids then this may be a positive for you.

I had a wonderful experience while staying at this hotel. I am very grateful to all the staff members of this hotel because of them I had a pleasant stay. I would like to express my deep gratitude to all housekeeping staff members of the hotel because they cleaned my room every day and when I entered in my room after work it gave me a very positive vibes inside the room. I am very grateful to CELINE ( Receptionist at Spice Cafe), and AERON (cashier) because both of them gave me a warm welcome with a beautiful smile every morning. Both of them helped me to know about the meals and also served meals. I am very thankful to DANNY DINGOASEN JR (Pool Attendant) because he helped me every day in the swimming pool when I went there to get a bath Jacuzzi and pool. He wished me well every morning, gave fresh towel, and also clicked my beautiful pictures while taking a bath in the pool. RYAN MATIAS (Public Attendant) is also a very helpful person. I found the hospitality of this hotel staff to amazing. I am very grateful to all the staff members who were standing at the main entrance because they always opened the gate with smiling faces.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at so far. Location, service, food and rooms are impeccable. There are lots of places to walk and explore around the place. Also it's in the heart of makati city so it's very convenient.

The rooms are so spacious and you should see the size of the bathroom. We requested a high floor room and they gave us on the 28 floor which had a great view.

7/11 is just around the corner and there is also a small shopping mall conveniently located just a few mins away from the hotel.

There is a roof top bar and small swimming pool on the 32 floor. The bar was great. Good food and great ambience.

The room was excellent. Modern room with security safe. Also the cooked by the chiefs was excellent! 👌 A 5 star Hotel with 5 star food and service. I love the rooftop bar and city skyline view. I couldn't ask for more.

We loved our stay. Staff is very friendly and were able to provide everything we required.

The pool was a big hit and I recommend the restaurant on the Fire Fly Roof Deck. As a Canadian missing home I suggest the chicken strips and creamy honey mustard sauce.

The stay itself was very pleasant! Also the surrounding streets seemed quite safe... The only negative thing was the bad communication between Agoda and the hotel. There was something wrong with my booking (it was my fault, because I booked for the wrong month). It was not easy to solve this problem because their action was hindered by each other. I would recommend to book directly with the hotel. Only half of the price I paid could be refunded in my case and I had to place another booking...

We had an amazing stay at the hotel in a family room with two double beds. Our room 2705 was clean and spacious, which is expected from a 5-star hotel.

Other points:
- the breakfast buffet was delicious, with plenty of dishes to choose from, including an extravagant chocolate fountain. The staff were super helpful, once they found out that my wife cannot eat gluten, they provided gluten free bread for her every morning of our stay.
- there is a pool on the roof for guests but it can get busy during the day. One section of the pool is shallow and is suitable for kids.
- the location in Makati means that the hotel is close to many amenities such as 7 Elevens, pharmacy, ATMs, and a 3 minute walk to a small mall (Century City). The mall had a supermarket with fresh fruits and vegetables.
- the door men at the lobby will assist with flagging taxis.
- airport transportation can be organised ahead of time for a fee. We paid 1300P for a drop off to the airport at 10am.
- our room was slightly noisy as I could hear people walking in the hallway at night. But the noise was not excessive.

Great 5 star hotel. The views from the roofdeck restaurant are spectacular. Rooms are clean, comfy beds and staff are accomodating during my 4 nights stay.

From booking to check out, staff are courteous. We enjoyed our stay. Clean room and variety of choices during breakfast. We'll definitely come back. It was fun celebrating New Year's Eve at Firefly Roofdeck Bar. Cheers to 2024!!!

We had the deluxe room on the 29th floor and the view was incredible. Clean bathroom and had everything we needed. The had an amazing rooftop bar and restaurant in the top floor that also had a pool.

The service was the most incredible. The staff were very accommodating and helpful and will try to help you with anything you want.

The only downside would be getting anywhere from there is a pain. The location is great since it's close to poblacion, however it's also in the middle of the city so traffic is always terrible and usually no taxi will get you. Unless you pay them double or more.

Overall my experience here is amazing and will definitely reccomend to any travelers who aren't looking to travel around the city much.

Amazing hotel!! During check-in we requested a super king sized bed and the staff went above and beyond to clean and prepare the room for us on the spot. Staff is professional and inviting. Everyone is always smiling. The FireFly rooftop restraunt and bar has great food and drinks. Highly recommend the frozen margaritas.🍹
It is very clean throughout the whole hotel. I also recommend booking a room with a view, it's definitely worth the upgrade. The bed sheets and pillows are quite soft. House keeping and room service are great as well. This is our 3rd time here and we will certainly come back next time we are in town. Thank you to all the great staff at City Garden Grand Hotel!
I see there are a few 1 and 2 star reviews, I don't know how anyone in good conscience could review such a place like that.

Only stayed one night for a layover. Great customer service and clean rooms. Lots of tourist in the area and right across a 7/11. I was able to domcurrency exchange at the front desk but jist fyi they don't change paper bills with small tears and writings on them.
