Secdea Beach Resort

Perfect rooms. We occupied villa 1 with free breakfast for 3 days courtesy of a very close friend of ours. Services were superb with very friendly and accommodating staff. Some pre-pandemic amenities need some upgrading or fixing, thus they have to limit to some very select guests for the time being. They operate 4 days only Thursday to Sunday but may be changed once the whole resort is fully open. Currently, they can accommodate up to 100 guests though previously they can go up to 200 or more. They have a Helipad. When we flew a drone over it, the footage was so perfect, you'd be thinking, the day was so special, a wedding can be held here. It has two big pools with 2 smaller ones for kiddos although some algae are visible and need a thorough cleaning.

Secdea Beach Resort is a 20-min. tricycle drive from the Port. If you don't have a private vehicle, the Resort can provide.

The place is perfectly designed for relaxation: only you won't hear any noise (aside from the poolside), you can also enjoy the whole resort yourself if there are no other guests!

Their Villas are very spacious—perfect for all sorts of gathering as they have function rooms at the first floor per Villa. They also separated the (3) bathrooms and (3)restrooms, which I find amusing.

Their Dining Area is spacious as well; very similar to a Restaurant, and their Tinolang Manok is a must-try!

They have a beautiful coastal scenery; too bad their Kayaks aren't of use— it would've been so much enjoyable rowing around their calm coastal area! They also have an over-water Bungalow which you can walk through and see their Helipad.

They also have a Tennis Court which I think is overgrown. It's also sad to see how their Club Cars just sat around. I hope they put maintenance to it; it would be so useful.

However, upon entry, you have to list down names at the Guard's attendance, which I believe could be done at the reception. Nevertheless, their staff's service are still Class A as they are very attentive and friendly!

A very amazing experience!

Their beach resort had improved since my last visit with additional swimming pool and more or less 270 degrees mangroove walkway around their beach front. Though they are not yet fully operational or still in skeletal workforce and no aqua rides as well. The only downside is their beach that is not yet regularly cleaned and totally secured with nets, hence, with lots of drifting thrashes. But they could be on their way of getting back 100% operational soon that should address their beach cleanliness.

Absolutely love this resort. Amenities is good, love the view and the man made falls, my kids love the pool. They have a nature inspired chapel and function halls perfect for a small wedding. The mangrove walkway is also a good spot for photo ops. :)

The resort is beautiful. The foods are good and the water activities are so much fun though its a little bit pricey😂 we stayed at fanily room and it was nice. the staffs are very accommodating too. Wonderful experience. We'll surely be back soon.

Honeymoon for 3 days with my Beloved and we received the most heart-warming welcome and feel at home service. They set up our dining (Breakfast, Lunch and dinner) to an unforgettable one! It is a great place to spend time with your loved one.

This is a nice exclusive beach resort in Samal Island. It is a big estates and so many water and sports activities you can do here. Shuttle services is being provided within the resort vicinity. Since this is quite far from the center, it is better to have your own vehicle or rent when going here. They provide day tours as well as overnight stays. The beach resort as a whole is relaxing. Food in the restaurant tastes good. Bar is open 24/7. The resort is very strict in smoking. They provided designated smoking area. The room we stayed is Seashell room. It is a huge room for 3 people. Tha bathroom is superb. Bathroom and Restroom is separate. The bed is so comfy and nice. Very spacious room so nice. It has also veranda with a nice garden view. Overall, I wanna go back here if given a chance again. This place is relaxing.

Very relaxing and comfortable place. The rooms are clean with good air conditioning units. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast served was delicious. There are plenty of swimming pools.

Great place for family gatherings, I specially like the well kept and sculptured gardens. Our accomodation was clean and air conditioning was working in all the rooms. Breakfast is complementary with several selections to choose from. Will definitely come again if given the chance.😊😊😊😊😊

I've been here twice and I'll definitely visit the place over again. The resort offers exquisite amenities, solemn ambiance and their food is the best among the best! Their rates are a bit pricey but it's all worth it.

Quite expensive but it was worth the money. Very friendly and accommodating staff from security service, housekeeping, receptionists to restaurant crew. Delicious food. Very nice place. You wont regret going here.

We had our First Team Bonding on Secdea Beach Resort and it really went well.
The rooms are very big, the area is so wide. They maintain cleanliness. They had water in a water dispenser in every rooms. Foods inside the room are bit expensive.
I wish we had a quick tour on how History of Secdea and what are the inclusions of big groups specially if the groups were new to the place.

I love their mangrove walkway. The place has lots of birds too. Nature at its best. White sand beach. Nice cottages. Several pools to swim at. Beautiful sunrise. This is perfect for everybody who want to commune with nature. ❤

Its a great place to relax and enjoy with your family. They have a nice pool with a small slides for kids. The view in the ocean is really wonderful. You can stay late at night enjoying their place.

Perfect place to unwind and get away from it all! Be ready to have limited cellphone signal, really away from it all. The place has two pools you can choose from and you can go fishing and have the fish cooked according to your liking :)

As resorts on Samal go this place is better than Paradise Island and just a little below Pearl Farm Resort. The facilities and food are excellent and the mangrove walk is well worth exploring.

I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet restful couple of days. Enjoyed my visit ...

Love the place, the pools, the food, the people, all of it. I was there for a whole day, wish I could have stayed longer. The place is super clean and well kept. The food was awesome and the people are courteous, a must do if you are in Samal.

We went at Secdea for a day tour because it was fully booked at that period. The place is at Samal Island about 15 minutes away by barge from the city of Davao. We love the place as there is a pool for everyone and a beach front if you crave for sea water. It must have been better if we are able to stay for another day :-)

It was an amazing experience! There are lots of activities--you will never get bored. The rooms are well-kept and clean--a treat after a tiring day of water adventures.

Beautiful relaxed atmosphere in stunning setting, excellent friendly staff, pool or beach your choice or like me both. If you're in Davao Philippines get the ferry to Samal island well worth a visit or stay.
