Vanishing Island

Trust me, this place is absolutely perfect for Instagramers or instagramer Friends. 😆 if you’re staying or living in Davao, don’t miss this place. I would say that this place wouldn’t get really crowded. It would be awesome and you would be lucky if you got here first. The water is clear and has milky white sand. 😊☺ Enjoy wanderers!

Totally recommended, this is a hidden gem

Clean and green. Literally green yung water on the way to the island. Maraming starfish and small fish. It's nice to know that the locals are protecting the island.
If you want to visit this island pls watch out for the schedule of the moon for it tells us when the high tide and low tide is. Or better yet contact the contact person sa sanipaan and ask if it's low tide.
Best time to go here is during low tide para makita nyo yung sand bar. The main attraction mala bali ang peg. 😂

Vanishing island is a great attraction for tourists and locals. Its located off the west coast of Samal Island in the Philippines. It's very neat and clean. Very clear water, white sand. You can see many of small sea creatures like star fish, sea shells etc. It's known as vanishing island because it is exposed at low tide but is submersed at high tide. There are total seven vanishing islands in the Philippines.
In early times, seamen were confused by this phenomenon and invented explanations for it, usually involving a massive sea monster that would let a crew land on its back before submersing itself, drowning the crew.

The place is still not exploited. You can still see sea urchins, starfish, fish and birds. It is a place worth going.

The best vanishing island ever visited. Visit the place before 10 am so that you will have the privilege to witness how the sand bar appears from a very vast body of water. The place is also not so far from davao city. You may contact boat operators who will bring you to the sinking white sand bar but be sure to still pay the entrance and environmental fees.

This little place was beyond my expectations and well worth the trip (ferry, trike and boat). Take food and drink with you with a cooler bag and be sure to remember the sun block. Good for snorkeling too. Would love to go again when next in DVO.
