Most beautiful island we went to. Even after visiting palawan this place was a much better experience. The best surf we did, palm trees as far as the eye can see, beautiful beaches, not too crowded, good food everywhere and the people are amazing. If you need a bit of convincing: don't hesitate. After visiting Cebu island, Palawan in the north part and Siargao we all loved Siargao the most!

Back in August 2019, we were here for the first time, as we join my husband's family for several days of staycation.

One of the beautiful places in my home country, the Philippines❣ It was truly an enjoyable memory before Covid hit!

My husband & I went on a boat motor ride and saw the hidden gems of the island. Hahaha, but I will have to check & review the places we've been to as well as the activities we did and update this review later to appropriately reflect my five 🌟 rating.

Now that the pandemic's effects are still being felt and the cost of fuel continues to rise, we've decided to stay at home. xD #practical

I came across my Siargao photos from 2018 while scrolling through my phone. After my previous trip, I promised myself that I would return to Siargao. But then, pandemic happened and Typhoon “Rai” Odette hit the place. After hearing about the situation in Siargao, I was saddened to learn that the typhoon had wreaked disaster on the island's residents and tourist attractions. Siargao is still healing at the moment, and we should continue to pray for their people who are still struggling to recover from the typhoon's aftermath.

I was told that by visiting Siargao, you are already assisting them in their recovery, as tourism is vital to Siargao's economy. Let us try to assist them in reviving their tourism. Siargao is a great place to visit and stay.

Unfortunately, it was rainy season when I was there so I missed the island hopping. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful place to go. I stayed at Sta. Monica which is 1.5 hours away from the busy and/or crowded Gen. Luna. The resort we stayed at was quiet and we had the beach for ourselves, even when there was strong rain. To go around was not a challenge (safer to drive in Sta. Monica) because there are hotels/resorts that rent their bikes. Or hire and van with driver to take you to the tourist spots although it could be pricey (unless you are in a group and share the expenses).

Do be patient though with their small airport that can get crowded but still trying to be as organized and safe as it can.

Is now one of my most favorite places to visit. The beauty of the place is truly amazing, the locals, the food, the beach, the sea, everything! I want to visit again, stay longer and have more fun!

The very first place I travelled alone, met new friends, stayed in a hostel and do things alone.

Siargao is just amazing! 😉😘

One of the most beautiful places I've been to. Will definitely go back. Can recommend to rent a scoter and drive through the island, there's many hidden and beautiful places to explore.

Beach island tropical paradise ❤❤❤, wander lust views and friendly local people. Hopefully the local government will conserve the island beauty as it is slowly fading ... Conserved the island ,people and the species living naturally. Development, infrastructure is good as it is giving money to people but if the development's turning and killing more of the Flora and fauna species that should be consrerved then it's a total disaster.

Siargao beach is beautiful, did island hopping. We rented a private boat to take us to 3 islands and wow that was unforgettable experience. We get to do snorkeling, swim in the naked island, met the deer in the rainforest island. Beach is crystal clear, yet you have to put on lots of sunblock though.

This place is amazing, there is surfing, beach hopping, site seeing...just so much to see. This is one of 3 islands we visited during our trip and it’s definitely one of my favorites now. Clear waters, beautiful beaches and lots of activities to do. If you rent a bike you’ll be able to make stops at different stores, shops and restaurants it’ll be worth it. Gas can be found by looking for Coca-Cola bottles that look pinkish and are generally posted outside. Prices are very reasonable. Transportation can also be done by taking a tricycle which there are plenty of during the day and night but prices go up significantly during the late hours. Have fun and enjoy your time in this island, it is a little piece of heaven after all. See more photos of my visit to the Philippines on insta @oqelobo
