DaRosa Del Mar Beach Resort & Restaurant

What a gem! It's a beautiful trek to get there (we rented an SUV with aircon, but you could take a scooter too). It was so peaceful I could hear nothing but the ocean and my heartbeat. The owners and staff are extraordinarily kind and sipping beers by the ocean in their beach chairs had a special energy about it. Drove here with my wife on our honeymoon and it was very romantic. Ultra private white powder sand beach as well. I recommend.

10/10! This accommodation exceeded any expectations. Rosa & David are amazing hosts & the staff is wonderful. The property feels like you’re away from it all & its location is perfection because of that. Beachfront with direct access. Exactly what I was looking for. Hire a scooter at the airport (40 min drive). Short scooter rides away to places & beaches you can explore. Go to the Marvelous Somyot Cave, zip line in San Benito, spend your days scooting around & checking out Siargao’s stunning beaches. Everywhere you drive on this island you will be in awe. You will be in northern Siargao so not near GL (Gen Luna) & the party noise (1.5hrs south). This humble accommodation is run so well by Rosa, David (+ their adorable dogs!) & their staff. Their onsite restaurant service is excellent & food is delicious. Free water refills at your disposal. Bungalows are clean, comfortable, safe. Alegria beach is beautiful, clean & quiet. I can’t say enough good things about DaRosa. Check out the night sky on the beach after dinner & don’t forget sunscreen. So grateful I heard about this hotel. Siargao is stunning. Everything is within your reach. Best of all, just relax & enjoy. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return :)

Absolutely loved our stay at Da Rosa! Their cottages are just a few feet from the beautiful beach, and there is a delicious restaurant onsite. The rooms are equipped with a fridge and there are beach and shower towels (plus conditioner!). Everyone who works there is great, including the resident dogs who are too sweet. We loved it so much that we had to return once our trip got extended.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at DaRosa. The apartments are directly at the beach and the rooms have everything you need. The huts are perfect for a stay with your love. Eating at the in-house restaurant was delicious, with friendly staff and good service. The wifi is fast and strong, even on the beach. We would recommend a stay in DaRosa Del Mar!

DaRosa del Mar Beach Resort is a wonderful place to stay while on Siargao Island. It's a tropical getaway from all the surfing and tourist excitement that's on the southern part of the island. If you're looking for some peaceful solitude while you can still be on a small but exciting island then this is your spot! The nipa style cottages are very clean and well built. We stayed in one of their single queen room, + bath. They have A/C and hot water. Our only disappointment was that we only stayed for two days. Equally as good is their restaurant, they have some great US style food as well as some great local choices.
The proprietors previously lived in San Diego, CA with the wife working in the restaurant business, this really shows through in the menu as well as the cooking. I met tourists at the restaurant that were staying somewhere else but would go there just for the food.
Electrical brown-outs are prevalent in the RP and they have a good generator that keeps the a/c and wifi up the entire time! I watched the owner starting up the generator in the pouring rain. These folks really understand the business/customer relationship and they do a great job at providing a very nice and relaxing location with great food. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved my stay here, was lucky enough to book in a stay for 2 nights and was not disappointed.

The location, the staff, the food. All amazing. This was the end of our trip and finishing here was just the icing on the cake.

One of the guests had lost their phone whilst standup paddle boarding (free for guests to use) and checked out the next day without the phone. The owners and the staff were still out looking for the phone the next day, definitely going above and beyond.

Would 100% recommend staying here. The rooms were spotless. The beers ice cold.

The food is tremendous with many different options, all of which are very tasty, specially the Filipino Breakfast N#2 (2 eggs and cornbeef with garlic rice) :)

Loved our stay here so much, wish we had booked longer! Much preferred up North to General Luna. Most beautiful beach right at your doorstep, we loved relaxing on the hammocks and sun loungers. Convenient having the restaurant on site, and all the staff were so lovely. Found a good surf break at Burgos and some amazing cafes like Kolekbibo, North Dirty Kitchen and Izustarri a nearby scooter ride. Rooms were lovely with great wifi and air con and the power outages were never more than a few minutes. Dave and Rosa were always happy to help with anything we needed. Couldn’t recommend more.

We wanted peace and quiet, and we got exactly that. Dave and Rosas Resort is a must visit if you are planning a stay in the north of Siargao (which you should!). The whole design of it seems very well thought through. Easy to relax, private access to the most beautiful beach, free drinking water, hammocks, chillout area, wifi, friendly owners, and an amazing restaurant (don't know how they are not obese considering the great taste of their meals). Can't wait to come back one day.

Amazing location, beautiful beaches all around with nobody... You feel alone in paradise! Pretty decent for snorkelling too.
The hotel provides kayak and paddle boards for free.
The rooms are really nice too, right by the beach, clean and modern.
WiFi is not great but it does the job.
Food at the restaurant is quite good too (which is important as you don't have many places around to go for food)
Really an amazing place and to a fair price!
Owners are nice and accommodating as well.
If you are looking for a place with restaurants and bars around this is not it, this is a place to rest and enjoy the nature.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Darose del Mar Beach & Restaurant, and I can confidently say that it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I stepped onto the beach, I was immediately struck by the beauty of the surroundings and the friendly atmosphere.

The restaurant itself was a highlight of the visit. The food was absolutely delicious, with a menu full of fresh and flavorful options. I particularly enjoyed the seafood dishes, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who were always on hand to make sure we had everything we needed.

But the real standout of Darose del Mar Beach & Restaurant was the beach itself. It was one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited, with crystal clear water and soft white sand. It was the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun, and there were plenty of activities available for those who wanted to be a bit more active.

Overall, I would highly recommend Darose del Mar Beach & Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic beach getaway with delicious food and great service. It truly is a special place, and I can't wait to visit again.

Rosa and her partner are really nice and supportive hosts who will make your stay as comfortable as possible.

We loved it there! The staff, the food, the sea, the bungalow! Everything was perfect for us😍 just keep in mind: there is not much to do and in the evening they close the restaurant at 8pm. So if you like having party you should stay at general luna, which is almost 2h by motorbike.

Northern tip of the island, come here to wind-down, go for long beach walks and to enjoy the silence! I rarely give reviews but felt some of the beauty won‘t come through on their pictures, here are a few :) We stayed here mid April with family and it was really hot on the island - but on this location there was always a nice sea breeze coming in and we enjoyed the shadow area on the beach. If you need a break from the hustle bustle in General Luna and want to just listen to the sound of the ocean, read a good book or day dream, do some soul searching, come here! If you walk east or west along the beach, you find some real scenic beach places, too. Siargao still has a wild, unspoiled island feeling - you‘ll find it here. If you can, rent one of the two beachfront bungalows with huge balconies facing the sea. But all are great price-value. This felt a bit like Thailand in the 90s, yet with more comfort and definitely better food :) From here, rent a motocycle, you can also drive to the harbor on your own where boats leave to Sugba Lagoon (west) or you can go on a mangrove tour, visit a waterfall. If you want to hear loud music and jump into motocycle madness, better go to General Luna :)

The damage from Odette is not visible at DaRosa at all, but you can spot the impact if you walk 30min west (on palm trees), but still an absolutely gorgeous area. Local business owners need the support here a little more than in General Luna (where everyone goes) - ready to go barefoot? :)

The property is extremely well cared of, beautiful cottages, very nice common areas, perfect for chilling-out, card playing, enjoying a cold beer.... and all surrounded of lush nature.

There’s an amazing international restaurant in the property with extensive opening hours: amazing seafood options as well as meat and vegetarian, they even bake their own pizzas - a must try !
You can dine in their restaurant or have it delivered at your terrace.

The cottages have really all comforts and are super clean ! High quality mattress, Aircon and electric fan, hot shower, mosquitoes nets on every window, a safe for valuables, beach towel + shower towels & Bathroom amenities too !

There is a small village at walking distance for smaller needs, and a short ride to uncrowded surf spots.

This was an amazing find in the northern and more tranquile part of Siargao. We went there for lunch one day while doing a scooter trip to Alegria beach. The food was amazing, the place was located beautifully alongside the beach and the staff was super friendly. It immediately made us book a stay for 2 nights there. Unforttunately the weather was not on our side but nonetheless I would still recommend the place. It is so peacefull with only the sound of the waves crashing and some of the best food/hospitality we experienced here in the Philippines. 10/10 would reccomend going there for a few days to get away from the busy General Luna area. Also some great spots to surf nearby.

Really good personal small villa's on the beach front, with excellent food served in the restaurant and good service overall.
