Alta Vista Ilocandia

The northernmost part of the Philippines offers breathtaking scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and the picturesque landscapes. The beaches were pristine with clear waters, making it a truly scenic destination.

Alta Vista Ilocandia is an exceptional resort that provides an unparalleled experience to its guests. The resort boasts of stunning outdoor views, world-class amenities, and a high-standard of service. The rooms are spacious, and the interiors are tastefully designed, reflecting the beauty of the Ilocandia region. We arrived at Ilocos Norte like midnight and they are very responsive in Facebook so I booked via that app. They are very accommodating which we loved. The room is so spacious for ₱2500 and they have a great view at night if you loved looking at night sky and just look at stars.

Since they are up north its so windy there but its so nice. The 360 view of the location is breathtaking. We loved it.

The price includes w breakfast too and the people who assisted us feels so welcoming and like we are part of their family.

I just hope we stayed longer here but since we are traveling by car and wanted to see other few places we didn't get a chance to stay longer.

It's a good thing we have a car because this hotel is far from the city like 10-15 mins drive away and its not a problem to us. We loved driving back and forth from this location.

This place is recommended if you are a big family.

Hope people will discover this place more because there's more to it.

We kept seeing offers of this place on Agoda so when we drove by it during our tour, we decided to check it out, and after seeing the view and meeting the staff, we decided to book one night at their Villa. It was a great stay! The room was very clean and had an amazing view! We were able to get WiFi on the balcony (they told us it wasn't going to reach) and enjoyed some wine we got in Adams while reading and enjoying the view. Although the beach wasn't the best for swimming due to urchins and sharp rocks, it would probably be a great place to snorkel. The food at the restaurant was ok, but the staff were very friendly an want to please. Just be sure to ask them if you need something. They may seem like they are not attentive but I think it's just because they want to give you your space and not bother you.

We got the standard room, I'm surprised how big the room is. It has 1 queen size pull bed and 1 single pull bed, cabinet, water heater, and some basic toiletries. However, there's no wifi inside the rooms, you need to access the wifi by the corridor since the router is in the reception area or in the restaurant. If you're looking for a remote work accommodation, this is not it. There's also no TVs inside the rooms, but it's good though because you're forced to sleep and rest. But since there's no wifi, there are no activities available in this hotel, and they don't have a typical sand-y beach front, your best bet is to go to other hotels/resorts. The entire property is old, you'll notice the dilapidated railings, lights, etc. when you go down to the water area. Their beach area is also verg rocky, not ideal if you're looking for the usual vacation swimming. Despite all these imperfections, they have a one of a kind 180 view of the sea. If you'll check their location in the map, you're literally at the tip of Luzon island. Their view deck gives you that picturesque scenery. It was sooo cool! Their location is also very windy because their elevated than the usual Pagudpud hotels so make sure to bring your sweater. They also have a restaurant/bar with the friendliest staff! They also serve great food!!!! Fish dishes were fresh, I love it! If there's one word to describe Alta Vista Ilocandia, it's a family-friendly mountain hotel. Hope they can improve the property and renovate.

The place is breathtaking! It's isolated from the city. We booked this place through their Facebook account and they were responsive and kind enough to give us a room that can accommodate pets. We have 3 dogs and the room is huge enough for them - but the rooms are also kind of "old" coz of the smell of the wood, some creeking wooden tiles.

The food was okay, it was a bit pricey.
The road going to the place is all gravel so expect a hard time going up if you're not using a 4x4 car. Since our car is 2x4, we had a hard time every time we went back to the hotel from our trip around Pagudpud.

Overall, our experience was superb. Given that the place has a majestic sunrise to sunset view, our dogs also enjoyed the calm beach in the morning.

They also have fast wifi. I were able to play some online games with no lag.

Great Views, Beach Access, End of Pagudpud located between the beach and the sky, fantastic food, great service, great facilities, you have your own windmills behind your room, great landscapes and seascapes.... will come back when it wasn't raining....

This place is amazing! The views are spectacular and the price is very affordable. Friendly staff and delicious food. Comfortable rooms with the right amenities. I'll definitely be going back!

Very impressive place. We held our 48th year 1970 Class reunion. Very spacious. Clean resort and staff are very polite and respectful. Always smiling and very helpful
