We were assisted by Mr. Beau Macliing of Mt. Privince Information Office. He is one of most impressive "Tour Guide" that I have ever come accross with. He helped us to appreciate more the unique and interesting culture of Mt. Province as well as the Cordillera Region. However, the Museum has a policy of "no taking of photos inside the museum" which kind of prevent us from sharing to the rest of the world how amazing the province and the region is.

The Bontoc Museum was founded by a Belgian nun, countrywomanwhose aim was to preserve the history and heritage of the indigenous peoples of the Cordillera region particularly that of the Ifugao people. Hence, this museum houses an array of authentic artifacts and photos reflective of Ifugao’s culture.

This is the best museum for indigenous artefacts that I have seen in the Philippines. They have excellent stuff. The photos are interesting but I find the copyright drama ridiculous for 100 year old photos. Anyway, you can’t take pictures in the museum because of this silly copyright. The Chinese porcelain is also interesting. Some lovely things. One of the best things to do is to crawl into the Ifagau huts out the back. Makes you appreciate your little apartment wherever. Nice staff also and only one hundred entrance

A lot of the mountain province's history is packed in this place. They have super rare books that you can read and study while you're there. The nun who welcomed us at the library was super friendly and warmly welcomed us. We hope to come back soon and have more time to explore and study the museum.

Want to know more of the Cordillera artifacts and culture in the early 1900? The museum caters to show you the Cordillera and its people. Inside are photos, old tools and so many more which was preserved. This was opened by a nun in the 1980's

With the rapid changes happening on the region, this is the only spot where you could immerse yourself on Mountain Province's historical and cultural past. Old artefacts and photos vivify stories that words could not fully capture.

The collection inside make amazed you. By the feeling side is quite sad in way of native people around are getting lesser. So might changes the area due to the natives. Sometimes people change due to economy and behaviors of the tourists...
