Bamboo House Beach Lodge & Restaurant

Bamboo House reminds me of my childhood spent with my grandma's house. Tranquil and relaxing away from noisy White Beach. Perfect for couple, family and even solo traveller. Don't expect too much luxury, in exchange it's their great food from breakfast, lunch and dinner we were not disappointed. The hospitality is at it's absolute best. We will tag this place as our go to accommodation in Puerto Galera.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Bamboo House in Puerto Galera and overall, it was a delightful experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the check-in and the entire stay smooth and hassle-free.The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The amenities provided were thoughtful.

One highlight was the dining options. The free breakfast offered a variety of delicious choices, catering to different tastes. The on-site restaurant also impressed with its diverse menu and high-quality dishes.The hotel is also pet and kid friendly. Wifi connectivity is excellent. They can also help arrange a wide variety of services like in-house massage and other activities to ensure you have the most pleasurable stay.

I highly recommend Bamboo House for a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay. The combination of attentive staff, well-appointed rooms, very relaxing ambience, tasty and high quality meals at very reasonable prices make it a great choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Food: most affordable in town! Their meal is good for 2 if you’re only ordering one dish, meaning they have good serving portion.

Ambiance: superb! Most guests are foreigners. Quiet place to chill and hang out.

They have charging ports everywhere and is free of use. They have service mineral water.

Guests may also ask permission to swim on the beach.
Well lit at night and the place is very picture worthy.

We stayed 2 nights in this small family run resort. The rooms are simply and comfortably furnished. The direct access to the beach invites you to take a swim early in the morning. The kitchen is tasty and the staff very friendly and helpful.

i miss the bamboo house, i was on hotels in white beach and some ohter in PG, but Bamboo House was the Number one till now, really miss the friendly stuff, the bonless chicken ;), the rooms where also nice compare to other locations where you pay alot more, hope to get soon again to PG with my family and friends, last time we visited in 2019 before the "deadly virus" came, as soon as the regulations are gone, ill come back to the philippines once more :), greetings from Switzerland.

An amazing place to visit if you want to get away from the crowds and noise . A local family business where you are basically invited into thier home . Rooms are basic accommodation but have a nice atmosphere you don't stay here for your room its all about the lodge and the little private beach that is a good swimming spot .
The owners are the nicest people you will meet they will help you in any way possible.
Food is sensational great local dishes to try .
Getting there can be a challenge from manila buses and ferries don't really run on a reliable schedule actual travel time was 4 to 5hrs but allow 8hrs for your travel with waiting times between connections.
once you arrive at Puerto Galera transport is good with shuttles and trikes for hire.
And the owners of the Bamboo house will arrange for you to get anywhere once you arrive.
An extremely relaxing and homely place to stay I will definitely be back .

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Friendly and accommodating staff, good food (a bit pricey but huge serving), clean rooms and nice place! If you are stressed with work and the hustle and bustle of the daily city life, this place will be your cure. You can hear the splashing of the waves 24/7 and did I mention the cool sea breeze? Overall, this place exceeded my expectation. I consider this my home in Galera.

The most relaxing time I have had in forever. The location of the resort is fantastic since it is directly at the beach (boat from batangas dropped us of 5m from the resort). Basically the beach starts in the resort as the recreational area has white sand. Unlike other reviews, the beach has not been washed away. There are hammocks in which you overlook the ocean. The water is crystal clear. The rooms are not super modern but clean and have a nice bamboo flair. They have great food in the restaurant. The filipino food is the best I have tried in Philippines yet I am half filipina :)) and even the swiss roesti is great and authentic. The service, especially of Dennis, is 5 star standard (they memorize how you take your coffee) and the staff is super friendly. If you are here, you dont need to go anywhere else as every wish is catered for and you will be very unhappy to leave.

Resort was amazing, cozy, and very accommodating staff..I love the ambience it's really solemn.. if you want to have a moment with nature really, its a place to go..that's not all specially for a price that we stay there, it's cheap. 😉 and their foods were superb.👌👍 that makes me wanted to go back again and again 😂❤❤💖

This is a family run business with some of the nicest and most accommodating staff. The perfect resort for getting away from the busier white beach area, you will not find anywhere else with this unique traditional bamboo style house. We will definitely be back!!

I expect high since this was recommend by my colleague and has a great review in Agoda. My experience was beyond my expectation, they have superb service and very nice staff and owner. They will provide things that you need even if you don't ask them. They are really nice and pretty much one of the places I want to visit again. They are beach front and has a good place to rest and chill.

The Bamboo House is an excellent place to stay if you wish to have the perfect combination of a lazy beach lean back atmosphere, fantastic food (I recommend all filippino dishes, especially the Caldereta and Sinegang - well and the filippino style Spagetti - fantastic chef!), combined with the possibility of snorkeling, kayaking, darts (...). It feels like staying with family and yet the services is great - very very friendly people. The rooms are simple and clean in bamboo style and around the beach there are all kinds of chill out areas and even a roof terasse. The bamboo house area isnt shiny, perfectly trimmed or "picture perfect". Its more of a "that palm tree grew here, that rock has been there forever - nothing is artificial" beautiful place. Hammocks right at the shore are the place to be for a nice afternoon nap and Kuja Dennis (manages the place) knows everything there is to know about the area (when which boat leaves to where and how much it costs, how to catch a bus from Batangas Harbor to manila (....)! Usually we are not long term guests anywhere but the bamboo house managed to give our bagpacks a rest for 9 nights because we simply couldnt imagine finding a nicer place on Mindoro. Thank you for a wonderful time!!! We are very tempted to come back!

Stayed here back in January and would definitely stay here again if we go back to Puerto Galera.

This is a family owned resort. A hidden gem because the price is so reasonable that comes with free breakfast. Not crowded and a very tranquil place to get a way and refocus your mind.

Excellent service! Affordable and the quality of the service is superb! The place is peaceful not crowded and the food is goos. It's my second time here. They can arrange activities for you. Kayaking is even for free.

Highly recommended. It is 8 mins away from white beach.

Beautiful secluded location, friendly staff and good food near two excellent dive sites. White tip reef shark, bright green frogfish, large octopus and banded krait spotted.
