Cambulo Guest House

Highly recommend coming/ staying here when you’re doing the trail. The accommodation is basic but sufficient. The food was good. The owners made all the difference though, they are some of the nicest and kindest people we met in the Philippines. They even organized a show with some of the children showing and teaching us the traditional dance. We also got to wear the traditional clothings. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you so much. 🫶

Ps. If you’re planning to go there maybe bring some gifts for the children (~15) (e.g. pencils/ school supply) they highly appreciate it!

Nice lunch, cold beer and cheap

Petite guesthouse perdue au milieu des rizières de banaue. Un accueil fabuleux. De la nourriture parfaite. Bref au milieu d'un trek c'est un vrai havre de paix. Tous le monde est content de vous recevoir. A très vite

Very simple quarters in the middle of rice terrace paradise. Our room had a balcony, which was nice. No A/C or electric fan so it was a bit stuffy. WiFi available via voucher but it barely worked. Decent food except for the fried pita. Owner Marie was super kind and accommodating.

Stayed there fir one night. Simple but nice guest house in an amazing remote village.

Basic lodging in a traditional village. Small rooms but large beds, tasty food, decent selection of drinks. A few little things (hot shower, phone charging) are extra.

Nice place friendly people

Nous y avons passé la nuit et étant seuls, on nous a donné une chambre avec terrasse, ce qui a rendu notre séjour d’autant plus agréable. Nous y avons bien mangé… mais ne prenez pas de pita, c’est scandaleusement mauvais.

parfait avec balcon mais tout ce que vous voulez mais ne commander la PITA de la cuisine. beurkkk…

The worst value for money during our whole month in the Philippines. The room without anything but bed for the same price as a simple room with private shower elsewhere. Stinky common toilets. The only sink is in the dining area and hasn't bern cleaned for eternity. Rooms were clean but the walls are to think you can lusten to conversations in the other ones.
Water dispenser not provided, draconig price for bottled water.
Food is good and and fery small portions.
Owner is friendly tho and we could get hot shower.
We don't mind staying simple places and I don't expenct much in small villages but this was ridiculous.
If we knew how bad places in Cambulo are we would gave walked on to Batad.
