ASEAN Gardens

These gardens are a testimony to what friendship among the nation states of the modern era ought to strive for. Only by accepting the humanity in each other can we all live in a better world together. Peace and love!

This is also a nice area to picnic or to quietly contemplate as one walks about.

It’s a lovey touch that the bust of Dr. Jose Rizal has Baybayin inscribed on it.

ASEAN Garden was inaugurated in 1993 as an expression of the Philippines’ solid commitment to ASEAN. Located near the Parian Gate. It is a home to the busts of the founding fathers from Southeast Asian nations. It features an assortment of trees and shrubs from the ten participating nations. The place is peaceful and quiet.

A piece of greenery outside the walls of Intramuros which hosts a number of figures who are central to the formation of the organization known as the Association of South East Asian Nations. There is access to the gardens via the Puerta del Parian and also through a gate at Anda Street.

Very nice and clean park.
Only accessible from inside Intermuros, you can only exit back out the entrance
