National Bookstore is a misnomer. Gone are the heydays when it actually sold books. Nowadays it's more of an office and school supplies store. It's more accurate to label it as National Stationery. It's still the reliable go-to place in the mall to buy supplies for your school and other office need. This branch is always understaffed so do expect a slight waiting time for services. Which may account for why everybody around here is so solemn.

This branch is small hence less variety of items and books are available. For emergencies it may be useful, but if you're looking for a good buy, chances are you won't find it here. Given they limited space they would have specialized for example in art supplies, or calligraphy pens, or other novelty items a bookstore normally has. This felt like an office supplies store with books for sale.
