Pearl Farm Beach Resort

Expensive but absolutely worth it. We stayed in the Samal House (built over the water) and absolutely loved it. Breathtaking views. Clean / comfortable / modern interior. Comfortable bed & pillows. ALL meals were excellent. ALL staff was exceptional. We will return and we highly recommend.

This is such a relaxing and lovely location. I just finished a lovely kayak paddle around the shore, included with each day's stay. The food is ample, varied and excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and intuitive. With 2 pools, and 2 beaches, this feels private and solitary. With airport transfers, and their own boat transfers from Davao, this is an easy place to enjoy the natural beauty and imposed luxury.

We're staying in the over-water cabins, and I woke up enjoying the silky soft linens and the sound of the tide washing out... and a local dove calling in the eaves. We would have stayed in the villas, but the capacity is silly for 2. There is also a hilltop lodge, for people who don't want to be on the shore.

This is a first class resort from top to bottom. Absolutely gorgeous property with authentic guys and buildings. Pays a wonderful tribute to the history of the island. The staff is amazing and attentive to your needs. The amenities are fabulous, including all the available water sports. The food was consistently delicious. My only caution is to be aware that it is difficult to leave the resort. You may not want to but it can be challenging to spend the day in Davao. All in all, I would come back here in a heartbeat and plan to come back with my family. Highly recommend!

Place is a paradise, super clean, super organized, .. people are the best. Foods are delicious.. the beaches are amazing . And thanks to all the employees for the amazing help and hospitality. Place is amazing. All the staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. Food from bfast to dinner are on point. Such a wonderful experience. The kids loved it too.

We had a wonderful two days at Pearl Farm. The staff was so helpful and welcoming, and would immediately get whatever you ask for. Everything was very clean, and the food had plenty of variety. I have allergies and have to eat gluten free. I was quite worried because the rest of the Philippines does not seem to understand gluten, but I emailed Pearl Farm ahead of time to let them know my allergies to gluten and they assured me they could accommodate. Sure enough, the chef walked me through the buffet each meal and told me what was in everything and offered to make additional items in the back without sauce or whatever. They had kayaks (included) and snorkeling was great - we brought our own snorkels and I was so glad we did as we just snorkeled right there on the resort beach. We also did a day trip “island hopping” which was really only 1.5 hours of snorkeling (giant clams - better than it sounds - and one other place). Didn’t really see any other islands but it was fun. We would definitely recommend this place!

Love everything about the resort! Top notch service! We stayed in overwater villa so our bed was facing directly the ocean! You can open the door while you are sleeping and hear the beach waves.

Loved this place. We were at the Mandaya rooms (or whatever it was called) for an overnight stay. It was clean, adequately furnished, A/C was working well. The staff were very accommodating and helpful with everything we needed. Check in/out process was easy, and the food was good. The only hitch was the wait for the rooms to be ready for check-in. Maybe next time, we will have our swim clothes on or in our carry-on luggage so we can go for a swim while waiting to get to our rooms. Not too inconvenient though. Everything else was great and the experience was memorable!

My mom and I came here in February and stayed in one of the samal houses. It was absolutely stunning. The houses are spacious and the scenery unmatched. I loved that you could swim in their pool, or the sea. Every inch of their property is incredible to walk around and enjoy. They have delicious food, with a nice buffet for every meal. And of course their hospitality is top notch. I would love to come back.

Pearl farm can be a bit pricy but not without its merits. You get to the private resort by a 45-minute boat ride. The minute you step into the pagoda you're treated like VIPs with warm towels and some refreshments. You get a quick orientation and your luggage is allocated to your rooms. Me and the wife got the suite which was a 2-floored rest house complete with a veranda overlooking the beach and a "duyan" + summer bed underneath. You also get a view of the whole place from the bedroom which was very nice especially waking up to it. The food is buffet style and serves a lot of Asian delicacies - mostly Filipino. We also got treated to a live band/performer during dinner. There are other places to stroll around including the pool tables in Mandaya area, coffee shops in the centre and the tree top rooms overlooking the whole island. All of these can be travelled by foot or you can request a private shuttle. Now, the beach... The beach close to the pagoda was heavenly, with sand to keep your feet warm and not too pebbly. Wearing beach shoes is highly recommended. On the other hand, our private beach just below the suite was also good but it did take a while to get used to as it was quite scary swimming on your own. You are also entitled to a 30-minute kayak or 1-hour snorkeling/day. There are island tours offered by the resort but I highly recommend going for the "Taklobo tour" it might cost a bit but me with a group of 11 people got it for a very cheap price - I don't know why but the people there are very nice! - it was a very unique experience, I quite enjoyed the snorkeling here than in Boracay! The resort will definitely make up for itself for the hefty cost as it is a very nice experience but I think what highlighted this trip for me were the people. Everyone at the resort was just nice and courteous and helpful. I never had a hard time requesting for anything. They made my stay feel like I was coming back home from a hard day's work and that there's no more stress, just living the life that you always wanted: Relaxed and Fun. (Can't post a lot of photos without breaking other people's privacy but just search on Instagram or YouTube and you'll see the same thing anyway!)

We had such a relaxing time there, we want to go back! The service was good and attentive. We had a problem with our A/C and was immediately moved to a comparable room along the seashore. Excellent snorkeling area where you can also see oyster and Pearl clams. Beautiful sunsets. And all the buffet meals are amazingly delicious. 👍🏼

BEST VACAY RESORT ever!!! No wonder our hosts, who held their anniversary here and invited their guests to stay as well, are regular patrons at this place. Everything I love in a resort is here: beautiful beach (and staying on top of the water...opening your door to gaze upon the blue sea, clouds, and even distant mountains, water was not too salty when I took a dip...so refreshing!), inviting pools, cozy room (the waves around lull you to sleep, amenities were complete), delicious food (I didn't expect it to be buffet every meal...so many choices, too), great ambience: from nature itself, the architecture, ethnic decor...so instagramable! And the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful! Would love to go back and bring our two kids with us next time.

Stayed here end of March until april 3rd. This place is very nice staff are always friendly, they go extra mile example deliver meals to your room, even prepare a special meal if requested and possible,you stay here with kids never have to worry about finding food for them. World class resort. Dont try to reach it by land its not good stick to the boat directly to the resorts dock. Rooms are nice and cozy, water pressure could be bettter for their showers. Food tastes amazing, 4 start restaurant. (Taste and service).

This region has istability, but resort is super safe. Your chances are 1 in 750 to die on a motorcycle or car accident it doesnt mean we wont ride a car dont overstress about this fact, actully samal has increased security and army presence due to events at marawi and past so you will feel safe.

The political leaders are doing a great job in samal. Nothing to worry about

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Definitely the best hotel in Samal Island. The fact that the daily rate includes our meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner buffet) was a deal! Transportation to/from hotel/airport was also included. Wait, what? 🙌🏼😀 The only incidental expenses were drinks (beer, cocktails, etc). There were good vegetarian food from the buffet, and their dinner buffet offered sushi, so I asked and they made me a vegetarian sushi. 🙌🏼😀 Also, we were given a complimentary small cake for our anniversary celebration, which was super sweet. Excellent view of the ocean from our room. Shuttle service to/from your room. Truly wonderful staff. 🙏🏼😊 The entire aesthetic of the hotel really represents Philippines IMHO, which made me really happy and proud in some ways. The hotel is kid-friendly - they have 2 pools where they can swim. They also offer marine sports. We will definitely come back at the Pearl Farm and stay longer. Two nights weren't enough. 😊

It was an absolute delight! This is a retreat at its finest! The views are magnificent, the service was flawless and the quality of food for the buffet line was great!

We visited as 3 adults and one 3 year old kid. I’ve never had a more stress-free holiday than this. You are very well taken care off, service staff are polite and all ready to ensure you have a great experience.

We stayed at the Hilltop rooms, and it’s on top of a long flight of stairs. We really don’t mind walking up, but they actually have a shuttle that takes you around the resort.

Drinks at the bar was great especially at Sunset. You get a front seat view of the sunset which happens from 5pm and drinks are at 50% from 4-6pm! Try the Pina Colada if you are into cocktails, you won’t regret it, and it’s very reasonably priced!

Waters around the island are pristine, especially in the morning! There are plenty of activity options from jet-skiing, island hoping to snorkel and see star fish and giant clams and Scuba diving! Our kid totally enjoyed the island hoping and being able to pick up starfish and putting it back in the water!

All in all, you get what you pay for and more! It’s first class treatment at a value for money price! I highly recommend it and we truly enjoyed every moment! We will be back for sure!

Pearl Farm Beach Resort lives up to its brand. It's lush, serene and beautiful. It's aptly complemented by the attentive and outstanding customer service you'll receive from the staff. Food served is a feast for the palate, I certainly ate more than I should. I also tried their in room massage. It was also great and I would highly recommend it. We stayed at the Samal Villa, which has a sea view. It's relaxing and the sound of the waves will accompany you throughout. All in all it was a wonderful stay for a couple on a much needed escape from the usual hustle and bustle of life.
