sailfishbay surf & big game fishing lodge

I've been visiting this lodge and fishing with Mark since 2017. On my first visit I felt as if I had been transported from the Philippines to a British Pub. Warm and welcoming atmosphere and staff. Nice large rooms with all of the amenities a westerner needs. Mark operates a charter sportfishing boat out of nearby Port Pilar with direct access to the Philippine Sea's fishing grounds. Nothing like fresh Dorado (mahi-mahi) for dinner!

The food was great and the hotel is a good size and comfortable. We had a lovely room that opened out onto a large balcony. The sunrises were amazing!
I also went on a fishing trip and caught 3 large skipjack tuna, I also hooked a Sailfish but it slipped the hook.
Everything was good value and we would certainly go back.
All in all a great place to stay, highly recommended.

Clean, comfortable and affordable rooms overlooking the ocean. I went fishing for 2 days in the bunca. I caught 3 good dorado each day and had other strikes. The 30ft catamaran is being restored and should be ready end of year 2022. This boat is a proper western style sport fishing boat fully equipped for big game fishing. Mark offers fishing packages which are probably the most affordable big game fishing in the world. I will be going back in search of a big blue marlin.

SUPER - highly recommend it! out of the busy GL... Pacifico is a chill and lay back place. Unsane views from the terrace and rooftop, good food... perfect for chilling and feeling home :)
Planned to stay for two night ended up staying for 5.

Quiet, relaxing, peaceful and great place. Mark the propietor has made available a GREAT place at a very reasonable cost. If you want the super chain deluxe fancy place, then go to some other spot. If you like the gentle people and live in the slow lane, riding tricycles around the island. THIS is your spot. The staff was helpful. On the entire island Wi Fi faded in and out, even as the ATM machines didn;t work on some days. But this is the place to stay.

I had a second floor room with a balcony, Mark was fantastic. I spoke with him on the phone once about fishing with him and then showed up two weeks later with no reservaton and Mark and his wife were very accomidating. He also put me on a 95 inch sailfish while I was there.

The rooms are huge, they serve good food at the bar/resto. At the moment the rates are cheap. Went fishing with them and the crew put me on 4 mahimahi 1 barracuda and 1 skipjack, had an awesome time

We booked a non aircon room for 5 nights in Sailfish but end up for 3 weeks our room was spacious, we loved staying in the balcony everynight to do star gazing, our room was in the second floor facing Pacific Ocean,beach day everyday you don't need to go far for the good beach the place was in the beach front with a white sand, the place was perfect for the people who wants to try surfing.

Very well kept hotel, nice Large, clean rooms, great food in the restaurant, the fish and chips is legendary..huge portions!

8k for big boat 4k for small boat fishing AC rooms are ok for the price on 1500p no more ! Very nice family that runs the place

Отличный отель, дёшево и чисто. Номера с кондиционером. В некоторых номерах он дует в голову, в некоторых он в другом конце комнаты. Нам повезло ;) за 1000 песо в сутки, отличный вариант. Ещё нюанс, Wi-Fi практически нет, и сотовый ловит только в определенных местах, если для вас это критично.
