Feed your eyes and tummies! This is where food meets art. The interior is amazing with all the different artworks; some are very interesting pieces. Food is also good, especially the sizzling tofu madness and beef kare-kare. They are also affordable compared to other restaurants in the area and considering the serving size. Their free soup reminds me of local carienderias.

"Dine with Art" as they say in Balai Maria!

You get the best of Filipino delicacies with a very reasonable price while feasting your eyes with superb artworks and enjoy the great ambiance of the historical walled city in Manila!

Taste and see it for yourself, or with your friends and family!

A must-try restaurant when visiting Intramuros. It is an Art Restaurant founded by a family of renowned artists; decorated by their own creation of mixed media art and some featured artists. It's worth going back to this place because the artworks changes. But the artistry doesn't end there, their food is as good and creative as the place. It's rare to see Laing coupled with Filipino classics such as Tapa. I highly recommend this place for tourists and locals alike who would love to experience a novel Filipino cuisine. Their food is really top-notch would 100% recommend!

As I am from neighboring countries, Balai Maria impress me with their local authentic delicacies with affordable price, in addition to locally-vibes ambient which enhance the dine-in experience.

The food was amazingly cooked and the restaurant staff were nice and accomodating even when we arrived later in the evening. Each dish was wonderfully plated, and was perfect for a full and satisfied customer.

The laing with liempi and bagnet kare kare were really good! Their rice servings and pitcher sizes are gigantic, too.

Dine with art, you're damn right!

The first thing that will catch your eye is the numerous paintings and artworks around the dinning room. I especially like the fact that they all come from local artists! And you can also buy them if one catches your fancy.

The food itself is terrific and moderately priced. I would suggest the sizzling tofu madness (the best I ever tasted here in Manila) and the fried calamari. They also have pitchers of homemade lemonade, and French press coffee that is extremely flavorful and strong (as coffee should be!)

I would strongly recommend that you give this place a shot if you're in Intramuros!

A hidden jam in the small side streets of Intramuros. Food was excellent (special mention for the salted egg shrimps that were so fresh they only lacked moving on the plate), and the flavorsome sinigang. Pork broth and cool water are complimentary. A temporary exhibit of the local painter Clint Policarpio made for a great artmosphere while dining. Heartfully recommended.

In Intramuros right now? A must-go and must-dine place. It will not satisfy your tummy but also your eyes with the beautiful painting around the place. Resto Art place. Where you can try Filipino dishes in a lutong bahay feels. Truly a resto that brings pride to Filipinos.

Very Nostalgic feeling where you can feel the Old City vibe/ or the Citadel of Manila at Night. Very relaxing , cozy feeling.. or because of the breeze outside and cold air- intake of the aircon inside this premise. Very welcoming for travelers who find their way in like a tavern type resto. But vintage new looks inside. Affordable price range for A typical customer like me, but mid-range to students or a much younger generation. Its very attractive to 5-7 people gatherings for each table because of its rectangular shape space inside. Also there is a parking space just outside the premise. I think theres no fee if you are familiar to the place and park it exactly parallel to this resto. But if you are not yet familiar w/ this place theres a lot of accommodating attendant that will surely not missed any parking space out there.

Food was pretty good, ordered the T-bone steak and the Lechon Pork Belly … simple and cheap but worth a quick bite, especially given few good
Choices around.
