Perfect for family dinner. Paseo del Mar has a park with a playground for the kids. The area is surrounded by sea where you can watch the sunset. Others also go fishing. There are many restaurants where you can get a variety of food choices for snacks even meals for families. There is also enough parking with a minimal fee. The area can be hot during daytime, so many opt to visit in the afternoon and evening.

Que Hermosa! Zamboanga is a place that will remind you of Mexico in some places, Cuba in others, and also Puerto Rico. But Unique also, as the Latin City of the Philippines

Their parking area is absolutely nice even though it's hot here but it's windy so the heat is bearable.

Good place to have a meal, some drinks and enjoy music on a weekend night out. Paseo del Mar should be part of your itinerary whenever you're in the city.

Paseo is opened starting 3:00 p.m. and usually, that's for students only. Outside visitors can enter the place anytime. The place is secured and it is guarded with many security personnel. The foods are affordable and the scenery is just superb.

Nice place to just chill and appreciate the sea view. There are also a lot of restaurants where you can eat and drink. Some restaurants have live bands too.

Let's start with the seafood shacks located @ Valderosa St. near Fort Pilar Shrine 😊❤

The variety and quality of seafood available were impressive. From succulent lobster and crab to flavorful oysters and shrimp, there was something to satisfy every seafood lover's palate. The shacks themselves had a rustic charm, providing a laid-back and casual atmosphere.
I particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating options, as it allowed me to savor my meal while enjoying the scenic views of the water and sunset.. 🥰

For me, best time to come around is @5PM so you can still enjoy roaming around while waiting for a sunset viewing 😊

Super pretty place! This place has really improved since the last time I was here pre-covid era. There is now a mini park complete with a playground for kids, with slides, swings, seesaws, monkey bars, etc. There's also an area for skaters. And then there's the bay walk area. The sunset view is absolutely beautiful. There are also a bunch of restaurants in the area serving all kinds of things, from grilled food to desserts like knickerbocker. The place definitely has something for everybody. The gyrating fountain no longer works though. 😅

The baywalk and vintas docked on the bayside with the cool breeze of sea air is a refreshing view. They have street bars and kiosks nearby. They also hold their festivals here.

Paseo del Mar is one of the dining establishments that makes Zamboanga City special. Music, good food, places for children to run and play and a seaside view. We consider this place better than similar options in Davao and Manila.

Zamboanga's version of Luneta park and roxas Boulevard.

First thing that you will notice???

The air, sea and land area is clean. It is well kept and as if they are allergic to garbage which is what we in Manula should emulate. I mean, you will enjoy coming here (ehem, especially good for dating) because it is really peaceful and clean. From here you can see the outline of Basilan and you will get to glimpse the beach of Sta cruz.

This place is known especially at night because of the different resto and live bands. Lots of family, couple and friends come here to relax, eat and jam. Some even fish here at night.

Place is guarded by soldiers and guards and you need to show your ID to enter this area( Basically, all public place in Zamboanga City has checkpoint). There is a big parking lot beside the tourism office where you can reserve and book your pink beach and onse islas tour here.

Lots of restos in the area. Very nice sunset. I am not sure if it's because of the martial law in effect, but the uniformed men in the place will ask for an ID before you can enter. I think, for security purposes only. Some restos have live band. Also, the knicker backer, a dessert, is cheap but very tasty. I think it can only be found in Zamboanga.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and the nearby islands. The sunset here is amazing. It is open early morning for people who want to jog, walk or exercise but it is most active in the afternoon. There are array of restaurants here and some offer live band music at night.
Moreover, there is a dancing fountain in the vicinity.
There are also sea gypsies on their boat catching people’s attention. Lastly, this is the jumping off point going to the famous pink sand beach, Sta Cruz Islands which is 10 to 15 minutes by boat.

Of course! The Paseo del Mar is a well-meaning tourism initiative of Zamboanga City. People keeps flocking here to see good sunset views and of the sea. So the restaurants and other establishments here can have steady flow of customers. This must be replicated elsewhere. The Paseo del Mar dancing fountains and lights are specially splendid. My kids love to watch the dancing fountains in tune with happy music.

The place is better when you visit during sundown. This place gives you a fresh feeling from the wind blowing your hair and the beutiful golden sunset. If you want to relax, this is a go-to place.
