Very good accommodation. Honestly these people are so amazing, they are really kind, polite and helpful, working hard and giving their best. I am really happy I stayed, even a night more than expected, the food they cooked was so amazing, also vegetarian friendly and just made with love. Every night you can have a chat with the other travelers at dinner, but generally it's a very calm space, very homey and I like that about it, that I was able to calm down after a lot of stressful travels on the Philippines! Thank you guys, YOU are the best!!

We had an amazing 2 nights stay here. Very peaceful and both Lhoy and Jean are great hosts. We arrived late in the evening and yet Jean was happy to cook us lovely vegetarian dishes all fresh of course. Pricing is very reasonable and I would highly recommend staying here to visit the renowned popular local attractions.

Truly one of the best hostel experience I have ever made! The hosts are absolutely lovely and you feel extremely welcome from the first second 😊 They prepare delicious food, show you around, give you coconuts, help you out with anything and are just very energetic all the time.
I stayed in the dorm and I don't think you can be closer to nature and still be protected from insects etc. A very good place to discover a lot and relax at the same time (:

This place is exceptional! Such a wonderful space, beautiful garden in a very wild and green area, amazing vibes in the common kitchen as the staff prepares dinner for 200 pesos and summons pretty much everybody at the same time, so it’s a great place to meet people as a solo traveler. There are hens in the house next door so bring your earplugs! But as I brought my own it was no problem to sleep well in the comfy bed with mosquito net. The wifi works well also especially close to the main house. Would recommend! (I’d only mention there’s no hot water but it wasn’t necessary for me)

If you come for a few days in this beautiful place, I absolutely recommend you to sleep over here!! The position is great if you want to see the tarsier museum, chocolate hills, atb or chocolate factory! And just 1.30hr of bike(for slow drivers like me ) to Loboc river
The chef Loy is fabulous, she does vegetarian food and also little dessert or fruit after dinner. We also had breakfast from her and wow, we weren't hungry the whole morning!
The place in general is very clean, the beds are super comfy and there are no insects inside!
Jean is a very nice person and he organizes tours as well if you don't have a bike.
Their kindness is the highlight of this place, we felt very good here!
Thank you very much guys ❤

We had a nice time staying here, the owners are super polite and helpful.
Food is great and you get plenty of it.Breakfast and dinner cooked by the owner.
We stayed in a small bungalow room, which is good, with a mosquito net and a fan.
Overall a super cosy and welcoming place.
They have some itinerary ideas laying around and the owner organise some tricycle tours as well.

It was a nice stay in a beautiful garden house. The two hosts were really nice and gave us some good tips and amazing food for a small price. The location was perfect to visit the chocolate hills and some waterfalls and other places in the center of the island. Definitely a recommendation to stay.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel, even if only for one night. The dorm was clean and I particularly appreciated the atmosphere.
The best part tho, were Lhoy and Jean. They are sweet and incredibly kind, really made me feel at home.
Super recommended!!!

Booked 2 nights and stayed 5 nights. Amazing family, felt like family too. Central location made for great base camp for seeing all the provinces. Also, best home cooked, balanced meals. Must stop if visiting Bohol.

Great experience. If you come here you have one rule to respect EAT MORE RICE. Moreover if you like petting dogs you can pet Poh the family's dog, really nice.
A really nice place to stay at. Great food and great people. The tenants are always ready to help and really nice. You can feel the warm and welcomness of the filippino people in here.
This is a nice place to stay in the calm don't expect big parties but more of a chilling vibe. It is really near the chocolate hills if you want to see them.

Ate Jean and Kuya Lhoy were incredible hosts. They took such gentle and generous care of us. The meals we had, breakfast and dinner, were some of the most delicious we have had on our trip! I only wish we had stayed longer! We hope to return!

10/10, would highly recommend. I will explain why:

Staying at the Lhoyjean hostel is single best thing you could do if you plan to go to Bohol. Lhoy and Jean are a authentic local couple that run the hostel with help from their family. They will do everything they can to make you feel part of it.

They offer picking you up from the port/ airport even if you arrive late, and will then make dinner for you at 11pm, because they care about you and want to make sure you have dinner before bed. Normally dinner is served at 19:00 and its delicious and filling. Jean will try to stuff you with rice as a filipino grandma would. They also make breakfast everyday. Doesnt matter if you get up at 07:00 or 11:00, breakfast you shall have. There is also free water, wifi, and coffee, tea, and noodles, and laundry, scooter rental(!), for a low price.

The hostel is made of excellently made (by Lhoy) cosy strawhuts with proper mosquito nets inside. The hostel is in a countryside area so expect fresh air, animal sounds, and a relaxed vibe. They also know the island really well as they are from there. They know all the well known places and when to go, but also some lesser known places where almost no tourist will be.

Lhoy even offers to take you on a "secret" hike up the hill next to his home village. There you have the best view with no one else around and he will tell you about the area, his life, and how it is to live on the Phillipines. Unique local experience.

Go here, you wont be disappointed!!!

Feels really like home, a province. The couple who owned this hostel are so very approachable and kind. We just planned to stay here for 1 night and now we're still here for 4 nights already.

Facilities are simple but it's a nice setting and you're out in the rice paddies with the locals. The huts are well screened against insects and have good mosquito nets inside. I didn't get bitten. The woman running the place is great, really helpful and friendly and she makes good food - better than you're going to get elsewhere in the area. Chickens kept me awake but it's rural Philippines - what are you going to do? You just have to accept it. Locals grow up with it so they don't even hear it!

Lhoy and Jean are great hosts. Very attentive and caring. They love to treat guests to delicious local food. They keep the huts clean. I lived here for 8 days and saw how they wash the huts after each guest. Everywhere is clean and tidy, beautiful garden. Also, I rented a motorbike from them and traveled all the sights of the island. Someday I would like to return to them!

It's my first time encountering such great, helpful, and welcoming hosts. The place is so nice and simple yet relaxing. They provide a cute bungalo good for two people. Sir Lhoy took me to Alicia Panoramic Park with his cool motor bike for 1,000 pesos which was great. Maam Jean, who always shows a great smile, provided me delicious meals at every dinner and breakfast. As in lami jud Maam Jean! 😄👍💯 It feels like home in this place. It's peaceful and relaxing for 500 pesos a night. If you want to be much closer to Chocolate hills, Danao Park and Alicia Ponoramic compared to Tagbilaran and Panglao, this is a perfect place. This is located in the middle of Bohol, so it is much better to go everywhere than other places. It takes 3-5 minutes going to the town. This is a highly recommended place. Will surely stay here again if I want to go to Bohol again.

One of the best hostels I have been to. It’s more like a guesthouse where you live with a local family. Very good vegan food :)
