Casino Peak Hiking Trail

One of the highlights of our trip here in Cebu! So happy we didn’t go to Osmena - we saw a group of 20 bikers going there for sunrise - we had the top of the Casino Peak to OURSELVES for 2 hours and when we left we still hadn’t seen a soul. Be patient if it is foggy at the top - the sunrise was beautiful, then the fog rolled in and we waited like 1 hour for the fog to burn off and then the sights were so amazing! Dress warm if doing a morning hike!

A very beautiful viewpoint, which offers a different view from Osmena peak. It is a steep climb to the top of the peak and the ground is rocky, but it is totally worth the view! You can see the mountains, ocean, Moalboal and Badian Island from here, which look stunning. Much less touristy than Osmena which is great for people looking for somewhere that is not overloaded with tourists.

Lugsangan "Casino" Peak.

A peak recommended by my friend / workmate who's actually a native of Mantalungon, Dalaguete and living in a house situated below the well-known Osmeña Peak.
Many would say including him that this peak is much better than the Osmeña one.
I haven't been to Osmeña Peak but basing on the photos that I have seen & heard experiences, compared it to what I have experienced and seen in this peak, I would say that it is actually true.

Much thrill & amazement is what you will get when you reach the top and hold the flag.

There's an entrance fee of ₱50 per person, and they will ask you if you need a guide or not. It would be much better without any guide because you can easily understand the pathway going to the top.
For locals, please stop complaining or bargaining about the fee. Just understand that it is used in maintaining the place and think of it as your small help for the natives of Lugsangan.

This is an amazing hiking trail. The views from the top are unparalleled. The hike is a little steep at points so would recommend wearing sneakers. It took us about 15 minutes to reach the top. The roads are a little iffy in spots, but we hired local motorbike drivers and had an amazing trip. The views on the journey are beautiful as well

Amazing view! We went in June (rainy season) and the trail was fine!
It’s has a lot of steep climbs and some large steps, not for someone who only wants to walk as some part you had to step up a little

But the views were worth it and we had the whole place to ourselves, you don’t need a guide just follow the path but it is 50pesos to go up :)

INSANE view of the "Moalboal chocolate hills". We met a girl from Bohol and told us this was better than Bohol chocolate hills. 360 panoramic view with the sea also!

What a fantastic experience this was. The Motoribike ride to this place is absolutely worth it. It took us 1.5 hours driving from the centre of Moalboal. The roads are good on the whole but there are some hairy parts which you need riding experience for (pics included). Lots of rocky and sandy stretches where the road has not been completed yet. Make sure your bike is going to be powerful enough to get up the steep hills!

There is a lovely lady named Virgi who collects 50 pesos entrance fee at the beginning of the trail. She is sweet and very happy to help answer any questions you may have.

The hike itself is moderate. It takes about 15 minutes in total but is very steep and rocky so wear good shoes!

Make sure you leave enough time to get home before the sun sets because it gets dark pretty quickly and the mountains are not the place you want to be when that happens.

There’s hardly anything around in terms of food and drink so I’d recommend taking your own stuff to last you.

The whole experience (the drive included) was utterly amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a bit of adventure 😊

going here is kinda challenging specially when it's your fist time to hike (you should try first the osmeña peak) though you can hike it for just more or less 30 mins. Its kinda scary hiking here specially for me that i have fear of heights but its also a challenging part for me and to also conquer my fears and when I reach to the top, all those fears that i feel turns to amazement and adoration. Definitely recommended here. 🤟

Absolutely beautiful. Just a 20 walk to get up and view is insane. Perfect for sunrise, sunset or anything during the day really. The road to get there is also beautiful.

Such a beautiful nature place even if it’s foggy. Good for short hiking and exercising.

Casino Peak is one of the hikes you should definitely put on your bucket list. In fact, put it straight to the top because it is by far my favorite hike on Cebu so far!

Wow what incredible views, 360 viewpoint with amazing scenery, the path was well made and still a bit steep and rocky but worth it once at the top, there’s a great little shop at the bottom for food and drink which is very handy, they have toilets and entrance fee was 50 peso per person worth it! The drive from Moal boal was very difficult but if your confident riding a bike it’s a nice day out but leave plenty of time to get here and back or hire a driver / guide, even with a few clouds we enjoyed it on the top and the clouds did lift it was stunning and the flag is a perfect prop to complete the achievement we loved it!

Wow!! We never went to OSMEÑA peak and directly went to casino peak and it was amazing!! The whole streets there are just wonderful, great views and the whole nature is just so beautiful. The hike is short but fairly steep. We were completely alone, the view was simply unbelievable and the fee was really small! Everyone that visits cebu should go there, it is a wonderful experience I can’t recommend it enough

We went to this before heading to Osmeña peak, and actually much preferred this. It was way quieter (we were the only ones the whole way), and has fantastic views! Good if you’re looking for something off the beaten path, the hike up takes about 13 mins and is moderate.

Very cool hiking trail. It’s advantage is that it’s not very long and exhausting. The price is 50 php per person. The views are fantastic.

My first destination should be Lovers Peak but because I am alone and I don't have someone with me i asked the driver name Rey which is a nice peak to see. So he said we go to Casino Peak and the weather is not so nice but still excited to.see how it looks like as if it same as Chocolate hills in Bohol so it makes me more excited. And there you go... i said Wow and wow Dalaguete is so much peak to wander... as usual my tripping moment i wore my bikini and do my Yoga stand. Fog and rain and worst is that it is so slippery i walk barefooted in the grass so it help me to go down.. and guess what i loved my adventure on this Peak...

Going to area you will experience the beautiful scenery of Dalaguete. Mountain terrain and cold breeze amidst the scourging heat of the sun. Casino peak trekking is not that far but going up... climbing the mountain is challenging due to sharp rock formation. However, when you reach the top its so rewarding and breath taking. You can enjoy watching the so called Chocolate Hills of Cebu and the serenity of the sea.

Amazing short hike, with beautiful sights of Cebu and it’s hills. No guide needed, entrance fee 50 PHP.

If you are heading here from Moalboal I recommend the route via Badian (some parts under construction, but good overall) or the one via Alegria.

Even the way there is worth it.

We stayed at the Peak for 1.5 hs and had it all for our own.
