I won’t say the ambiance is nice, but they did try their best. However, I believe people came here to dine is because of their delicious Indonesian and Malaysian cuisines in the area with their fair prices.

Usually, I would come here for a quick food bite, but you have to expect some items they are super busy with their delivery order and hard to cover your order and bills to make a fast transaction. Nonetheless, here is one of my favorite restaurant after the pandemics.

Updated: their Kamgong vegetable is salty, so better eat with rice or noodle soup.

Wardo, an Indonesian restaurant, proved to be a delightful dining experience. Their beef rendang stood out for its exceptional flavor, a perfect blend of spices and tender beef that easily makes it the best I've had (warning: super spicy!) The fried noodles, featuring chicken and wide rice noodles, were equally impressive. Each bite offered a burst of flavor, complemented by generous and well-cooked chicken chunks. The new chicken nugget appetizer, whose name escapes me, was a fantastic addition to the meal – crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor.

The wintermelon juice was a refreshing accompaniment, balancing the rich and savory flavors of the meal. It's clear that Wardo pays attention to the quality and taste of their dishes, as everything we tried was wonderful. The service was attentive and the ambiance inviting, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.

For two people, the meal cost 1,100 pesos, which felt like excellent value for the quality and quantity of food served. Wardo has certainly earned a return visit, and I would highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Indonesian cuisine.

Since I enjoy eating Indonesian cuisine and there’s a lot of positive reviews about Wardo Restaurant, I decided to give it a try.

Here’s what I ordered:
Nasi Ayam Penyet ₱223 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Ayam (chicken) was a bit dry but very crispy and didn’t have a bad oil smell. Their Sambal Terasi is interesting, as it tastes sweet at first, and then the spicy taste would slowly kicks in, which is very very addicting! <3 (definitely tasted better than Ria’s) I also love that there’s a variety of vegetables that comes with this dish, which makes it a healthy plate with carbs, fats, protein, and fiber, all in one.
Es Teh Tarik ₱80 -
Super sweet to the point where I only took a sip because I might get diabetes if I drank the whole thing. Perhaps they could mix it with more water to balance it out.

p.s. there are only a limited number of tables inside the resto and the staff seem to be short-handed, considering that they are preparing numerous amount of takeout orders while serving those dining in at the same time. so if you don’t want to wait very long, it’s better to go early as the resto gets packed and crowded.

Warung Indo is a place for great Indonesian food in Metro Manila. While they are open for take away and deliveries this time, their food tastes great still and the servings remain huge. Value for money indeed.

(Take aways and delivery are open until 7:30 pm as of today)

Fantastic Indonesian restaurant. It has all your favourites, including vegetarian options. For carnivores, try their chicken satay; you're welcome. Vegetarians, try the Tempeh, photo attached.
Wardo's so good we went twice in a row. Inexpensive, tasty, & authentic, in the heart of Makati.

I haven't had much Indonesian food in my life but this was crazy delicious! Apparently it is quite authentic and the pieces are low and the portions are generous. I got the #21 (fried rice with an omelette and chicken satay) and vegetable fritters and an iced tea tarik. Left stuffed and happy. :) would highly recommend - also apparently it's open almost all night so if you are hungry late, no worries!

Warung Indo is a hidden gem in Salcedo! My Indonesian friend introduced this place to me more than 5 years ago now, and to this day, it still doesn’t disappoint. They offer Chinese-Indonesian cuisine, and most of the dishes are authentic!!! My favorite is their Kwie Tiaw chicken, which they twisted recently as Beras Kwie Tiaw chicken or fresh fried noodles.. Love it mild spicy and paired with their potato cakes! If you’re around Salcedo village in Makati, you must try it here!!

Awesome! No wonder it's so popular.

2nd time, today I tried Laksa. Since I like Singaporean Laksa, it was just different from what I know.

Was here 4 years ago.

The food is as authentic as they can feasibly manage. The taste is alright for me, considering they are catering for a very much different taste buds.
My problem is only price. For me, this is a bit steep even in an overpriced Makati area.
Still 5* in general

I was actually looking for a very long time for a good place for Indonesian food. I have been living in Bali for quite some time and was missing out on it for ages. While walking home, I just passed this place and I was surprised how many Indonesian dishes they had. So I decided to order quite a lot. The portion where also bigger than I expected, so I invited some friends over to eat together. Everyone loved it, will def come over there to get my takeaway anay day soon.

Nusantara taste. Believe Indonesian, Malaysian, Singaporean, Brunei are able to relate to regular home taste. Wide selection of food off the menu from mild spicy to normal spicy known to locals. Expect a 30 minutes wait for your meal. Some waiters are able to converse in Indonesian. Friendly staff and no tax above your food. Atmosphere wise was just so-so, nothing fancy.
