Maloka Napü is one fantastic hostel. Each cabin is beautiful and the hosts are wonderful people. Sleeping every night with the sounds of the Amazon is a wild gift, and Ismael (one of the admins and also tour guide) did a wonderful job explaining everything regarding the culture of Puerto Nariño, the neighboring Indigenous tribes and getting us to know the place just as a local. Maloka has alliances with local tour experiences so expect special adventures there.
Staying in Maloka Napü is a must!!

Such a wonderful place to be when you are planning some kind of tours in Puerto Nariño and it's near communities. It's a comfortable place where the attention is something in another level. We had the pleasure to be guided by Ismael Rodríguez who is an experienced guide in Puerto Nariño. I really enjoyed my time there and I couldn't be happier. Many thanks Malocas Napu

ALTAMENTE RECOMENDABLE.
Fuimos dos adultos x 2 noches, y como estabamos tan satisfechos retornamos otra noche adicional
Ismael, su esposa Marine y la sra del aseo, nos hicieron sentir mejor que en nuestra casa!. Buen precio, buena ubicacion a 200 metros del puerto. Limpio. Rico desayuno.. comodas camas y hamacas en cabaña del segundo piso.
Ojo, el piso de la ducha es muy liso cuando tiene jabon. Tener precaucion.

Ismael es una persona muy amable. La habitación que nos dieron fue muy confortable, la construcción es muy bella y va de acuerdo al paisaje amazónico. Pasamos una buena noche en este lugar.

Este lugar es encantador, bien conservado, agradable y acogedor. Nuestra experiencia fue muy agradable, la comida fue excelente y la compañía también: agradezco al señor Ismael y a doña Francisca que nos compartieron sus saberes y nos brindaron gran hospitalidad.

Recomiendo a ciegas este mágico sitio.

basic dormitory interior, but with a lot of light and proximity to nature as there are no windows which we loved! mosquito nets in all beds and nice view on the street:)
very helpful staff and great location.
improvement: mattresses are very worn out in the dorm and not good in case u got back problems!

About Caballococha
Town in Peru

Caballococha is a town in the Loreto Region in northeastern Peru, located on the Amazon river and right across the river from Colombia. It is the capital of both Mariscal Ramón Castilla Province and Ramón Castilla District. As of 1993, it had a population of 4,028. The name of the town is a combination of Spanish and Quechua, meaning "Horse Lake", a nearby body of water. It is a poor town and people live by farming, trading, and fishing. Television has arrived as has the internet and there is even an internet cafe in the market square. Other than some motorcycle/taxis, there are only one or two vehicles in town. There is an airport under construction, but it is difficult to imagine it will see much use. The town saw itself participating in the Leticia Incident, an event which led to war between Peru and Colombia in 1932. source
