Lovely out door seating on the terrace

One of a few places in Caraz that paid attention to decoration. It is a really cosy bar / restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Beers are reasonably priced and the pizza was really good (a good crispy dough and not overloaded with a crazy amount of cheese as most other pizzas in Peru). Only I would recommend them to put up a sign at the door saying you have to ring the bell. I almost walked away since the doors downstairs were locked.

Ambiente acogedor con muchos detalles de alpinismo y calidez a un paso de la plaza de Caraz. Se siente una taberna europea con sabores peruanos. La pizza que pedimos estuvo increíble (La Rat) y la masa delgada como galleta, buenísima. La acompañamos con una par de cervezas artesanales y buena música ambiental. Parada obligatoria si estás una noche por Caraz.

Cafe de Rat es un bonito, pequeño y acogedor lugar para visitar definitivamente si viajan a Caraz. La atención es de lunes a sábado desde ls 6:00 pm y no atienden los domingos, las pizzas artesanales son buenísimas, el personal del café es muy amable, los tragos muy ricos y la música agradable. Recomendadisimo, eso si cuando se llena no aceptan mas por el aforo y las normas por pandemia así que es mejor reservar.
