Plaza de Armas of Cajamarca

Everything was good, the weather was sometimes hot, rain and little cold.

This is a lively, clean, beautiful plaza. I was there during a youth parade heading into carnival and the excitement and joy was palpable. Visit in February if you can and be prepared for rain (which does nothing to hamper the mood of the locals).

Beautiful set for the Christmas and New Year with colorful figures and constructions for kids. Park is clean and quite few options to find a shade and chill with friends and family. In the night it is lift up and holiday sculptures are creating warm atmosphere. The fountain is a central blue light with the cathedral on one side and church in the other. Clean and nice.

Beautiful and well kept. One negative is that there are far to many benders trying to sell you something.

Beautiful big square, reminds me a bit of cusco. Cajamarca is a city that can't be skipped on any peru itinerary!

A wonderful place to go. The history of this place is very evident in the hundreds of years old architecture of the Spanish Colonial era. Sadly there are no pure Incans around to tell the story of Cajamarca as they were all slaughtered.

Incredible place to visit and to consider the history that has taken place here. One of the most beautiful in Peru, and very well taken care of. A must see in the region!

Lots to do around here. Plaza is always bustling with people. Lots of restaurants and shops around.

The place have more feeling for the mountains, lakes, airs in the environment is more healthy, here the man more powerful living, he have so much gold in the world in the land, and he have beautiful woman's. The place is CAJAMARCA

I love the rural area o cajamarca because people are very simple.

Great place to visit, plenty of historical churches, buildings, cafes, and restaurants. An Artisan Market is nearby.
