Had a fantastic family visit here today! Arrived at 1100 Wednesday morning, very few people and no queues. We stayed until 1530, the park is huge! Highly recommended and great for kids, lots of different areas and animals. Multiple ancient ruins all over the place as well which are interesting. The gardens and zones are very clean, well maintained and the animals seemed to be well treated. A very enjoyable day out, a lot of walking but we had great weather and there are places to by snacks, drinks and ice creams all over the place. Will definitely be back again for the parts we didn’t have time for today

The zoo was better than expected. We some some exotic animals from close distance. There were not many people so we enjoyed walking around there several hours.

Excellent zoo and massive. I recommend go there really early. Parking lot gets full immediately, so keep it in mind. Have your map because you can get lost and walk around the same areas. You can eat in some open areas the food you brought or you can also eat in the restaurants. They are always full and overpriced, as any snack. The variety of animals is great, specially because they're divided by regions. You need to return more than once because you definitely are not going to finish the circuit in one visit.

Worth visiting. A big zoo and botanical garden with water activities and ancient huaca ruins. The park is unique for being located on an active archaeological area. Within this area between Lima and Callao are dozens of scattered huaca ruins. For me its one of the more convenient way to experience multiple huaca archaeological sites in just one area plus there's a zoo and gardens, unlike the other huaca sites that is a bit out of the way and located on a not so touristy places. The zoo part of the park is just okay. Interesting botanical garden..divided into three sections with a bit confusing walkway. For me what makes this place special are the ruins..mostly large earthen mounds made with adobe bricks and earth. The place could be a bit hot during noon for there are not enough shades. Lots of miscellenius things to do specially for kids. Managed to take a nap on the grass under some shade.

Had a great walk around the park. Not a lot of signs to the animals, got lost but found new areas to explore. Was an enjoyable time. Would recommend.

This zoo covers a LARGE expanse of land, built in, on, and around a lot of historic ruins (cool preservation). The exhibits and animals were really cool and surprisingly active. Some spots are a bit tired, but seems to be expected with such a large space. Entrance is very affordable (~$3.75usd / person). Would absolutely go back, worth the time for an enjoyable afternoon!

The animals here are absolutely *chefs kiss*. These animals deserve the absolute best because they are so cute and so sweet. I have to say that many enclosures were very large, but some were smaller than they shouldve been in my opinion which was disappointing because the animals deserve the most spacious and comfortable stays possible.

On my first time in Lima my wife and I visited here and 2 years later we choice to return. Its a beautiful place with so much to see you get to relax and enjoy the whole day. The Animals and their enclosures are all well looked after with most having plenty of room ( it was a hot day and not all pools were filled enough in my opinion). Yet again the butterfly house was a complete let down and this time not a single butterfly was here, there were plenty outside tho. This is a place I'm sure I will be returning to in the future as there was alot of work being carried out I'm looking forward to seeing the next stage of this amazing zoo.

This is one of the largest zoos I've ever seen. It features all landscapes of Peru: sierra, selva, costa, plus some african and australian species. I recommend coming in early to be able to explore the entire place.

It was a delightful experience!. As a child, I used to walk through the park and enjoy it. Now, as an adult, seeing the changes the administration has made, I can only congratulate them for what they have made.
One thing I would like to suggest about the boat rides is that guests that are supposed to see a small Macchu Picchu replica paying for the ride, they need to extend the time spent there. Our ride did not spend 30 seconds, and pictures were difficult to take. Outer than that, I loved being there. I highly recommend visiting the park.

Great zoo/amusement/museum. Reasonably price although the rides & mining museum are extra. BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER!
Lots to see & do & learn. Very educational, bring a hat & sunscreen & bottle of water. Great for any age but a fair amount of walking is involved. They don't accept MasterCard much so stick with cash or Visa or any bank card that works in Peru & your own country. Venders inside are independently own so its hit & miss on quality & price but all in all...it was a great day. Kids under 12 will love it! But there's definitely something for any age.

The traditional zoo at Lima. Lots of animals distributed according to the 3 geographical regions of Peru. Nice place for a day out with the family and kids...

Beautiful zoo with sooo many animals . Its a huge place that would easily take 3-4 hours to see properly . Some of the enclosures need to be updated but generally a great day out .

Very nice zoo. I loved the Amazon section where you can understand how it is and which animals you will encounter before heading into the real Amazon, not far from there.

An amazing place to visit while in Lima. Very clean, organized, a site full of animals that does not smell ugly, I was very pleased with this visit.

A day is not enough - you need to plan your route. Buy your ticket online for a quick access and plan your route as the park is huge! To see the whole park, you will most probably need at least 3 days. Do not bring food as there food stands and good restaurants all over the park. The zoo was impressive!
