Gocta Andes Lodge

This lodge is amazing! The most gorgeous views of the Gocta Waterfall. The staff is so helpful and kind. The rooms are beautiful and clean. And we had the most magical time staying here. I would highly recommend!

A fantastic 4 night stay at Gocta lodge in late April with our family of 4. The lodge was quiet unfortunately, as tourism still effected (unnecessarily IMO), however the staff and service was excellent. Great food and nice drinks, with the views and pool obviously a highlight. We did the walk to the falls as well as some other walks in the area. Excellent guides available through the lodge. Highly recommended for families as well as travellers who love the outdoors.

The lodge is beautiful! the surrounding town is quiet and everyone is so friendly. Im really writing this review for Ever, my taxi driver. He drove 10 hours to pick my friend and I up at cajamarca airport because our plans had been changed due to another airport shutting down. He is amazing! Ever was professional, friendly, and personable. He deserves a raise! i've never seen someone so kind, genuine, and humble. His driving was safe and his car was comfortable. I not only had an amazing stay at the lodge, but my friend and I made a close friend. God bless you Ever!

Incredible and worth every bit of effort to get there! The Gocta lodge is in a truly spectacular setting, with nature and solitude abounding all around you. The lodge is extremely pleasant and comfortable, the restaurant and quality of service very high, at a truly reasonable, almost inexpensive(!), cost given the remoteness of the area. Cocachimba town is right next to the property; it has some limited shops and restaurants as well as tourist info for the trek to the Gocta waterfall. If you’re still reading this, just GO!

As of our trip dates Chachapoyas airport had direct flights three days per week from Lima (small propeller planes) and is by far the most convenient to Gocta. Less than one hour driving. (Else it’s a longer route by road through the Andes from the larger city, Jaen.)

An absolute gem. The views from the suite we were staying in were breathtaking day and night. Perfect location to start a trek to the Gocta waterfall. The service and food were superb. Also it's a very peaceful place so it's perfect to slow down, reset and recharge your batteries.

Had a fantastic time at the hotel. The service was excellent. The scenery is very beautiful, they take really good care of the property.

Food in the restaurant was delicious and prepared with love.

Gocta Lodge is an incredible gem overlooking the famous waterfall. Their staff is incredible and so quick to accommodate any guest needs. We had to make a pitstop to buy a belt before a hiking trek, and the staff found a way to make it work. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The food is also absolutely amazing. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast. Lunch and dinner options were impeccable and their aji de gallina sauce should really be bottled to bring home. Definitely recommend this awesome location!

Love it! Amazing!. The views are exactly the same like magazines! Service was excellent!. The buffet breakfast was delicious. Beds are super comfy. We stayed in one of the suites. It was ample and modern looking. My only recommendation would be put a big mirror in the rooms. The only small mirrow is located in the bathroom.
We had 2 tours to kuelap and Gocta falls. Both were amazing.
Also we witnessed a proposal there. The hotel staff was able to organize it. Very romantic place. Book your room now!

A great location and very comfortable. As an added bonus, the restaurant is incredibly good. You can arrange airport pickup and many different activities through the hotel as well.

Gocta Andean Lodge has the best view of the Gocta Waterfall and surrounding area in town. It's cozy, has comfortable rooms, a great selection for lunch and dinner and great service. The entrance to the trail to the Gocta Waterfall is just outside the hotel. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you set-up a tour as a very reasonable rate. The trek to the fall is a 10 km walk roundtrip. Horses are available to get you 2/3 of the way.

One of the best hotels in Peru. It has an amazing view to wake up in the morning and inspires adventure!

Amazing location with spectacular views!! Customer service was first class and the breakfast top notch. I'm really glad I spent the night here during my brief visit to Chachapoyas.

Very pleasant place. Wonderful view. Quiet place in a very calm tiny village. Just next to the entrance of the Gocta Falls walk. Nice host. Quality buildings.

I had a marvelous stay while in this lovely place, everything is combined into a unique and exquisite experience, the view is just mesmerizing, make sure to order a nice drink and seat around the pool at night and enjoy the sky full of stars, and let yourself immerse into a magic moment...

Went there for something to eat for lunch. The Chilcano de Aguaymanto was delicious! Enjoying this with a view on the Gocta waterfalls was just amazing.

Very clean, excellent staff, breakfast was amazing, and the view cannot be beat.
