Wyndham Costa del Sol Arequipa

Many thing to highlight, but let's mention some of them.. first of all a big shoutout to Wilfredo, the concierge, he was extremely amazing and kind. The hotel is a peaceful place, surrounded by gardens and exotic Peruvian animals, and an incredible team always able to help you at anytime. The price is definitely worth it.

The Best Thing About Arequipa
Amazing hotel, definitely the best "bang for the buck" in Arequipa. Reminds me of old Cataratas in Foz do Iguaçu before the Belmond purchase: a distinguished hotel, a bit off the main area, with history, colonial décor, spacious rooms and a pink palette.
Amazing beds, amazing bathroom and very courteous staff. The restaurant was also really good, and the alpacas roaming the backyard were a nice touch.
We had only one (not so minor) inconvenience when at 3:00am another guest decided to take phone calls at the corridor just out of our room with his ringtone set to loud. However, hotel management dealt with the situation admirably and I have no further complaints about it.
On the downside, location could be better as it is a little bit far from the Plaza de Armas and the hotel's immediate surroundings don't strike the guest as very safe for walking -- neither in the sense of criminality nor pedestrian safety at crossings.
Also, beware of rooms with no AC. If missing, hotel with change rooms upon request though.
P.S.: about the town (not the hotel), please note that there's really not so much to do in Arequipa if you're not into trekking. So the hotel really was the best thing about our visit, together with the cuy at Zingaro in Calle San Francisco.

Ok so I’ve stayed here a few times and my family and I love it there! The staff is amazing so sweet and polite. Food at the bar was nice and so were the drinks.I’ve already booked our next stay!

I had a wonderful stat here for our Arequipa tour with Gate One. The hotel is clean and pretty inside and out. Well kept.Our breakfast was delicious. I asked for vegetable Omelette and was cooked . Well done.The staffs are attentive and friendly. Sr Wilfredo was so kind to take my picture. I highly recommend this place!

What a great place to stay for a beautiful experience in Arequipa. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great hotel , good location , really clean and have a pool ! Free parking on location.

This is a great hotel. We came too early but got the car parked and could use the facilities and beautiful surroundings. They have alpaca and Galapagos turtle in their park. The room was nice and clean like all the areas. The staff was just amazing and very helpful. The food was outstanding. Our best recommendations - go for a visit 👍🏻

It's an excellent hotel, used to be an old mansion. Staff were helpful and took initiative between helping me with my bag and arranging a shuttle. Had a nice short conversation with the bartender as I had the welcome drink. Breakfast has many more options than in other Costa del Sol hotels. It's located a little outside the historical center, up the hill a ways but inside a large park. I really enjoyed my weekend in Arequipa, and Costa del Sol continues to be a brand I can trust when traveling around Peru.

Hotel Libertador at Arequipa is an exceptionally good hotel. The rooms and their facilities were quite luxurious and the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Gonzalo from the Los Robles Restaurant was one such person. The food was great but the service from Gonzalo was just as good. An excellent combination! The hotel is also only a short walk, down scenic streets, to the main square and it's surrounding attractions.

I did not stay at the hotel, however I was here for 3 days attending a conference. The hotel is top-notch. The food served here was delicious! Within walking distance to main town, so after conference it was easy to walk into town and do some sight-seeing and get some dinner. It's also located next to a big park, so quiet and peaceful.

Great hotel if you want to stay outside of the city center. Only a short 10-15 minute walk will take you to the heart of Arequipa. The hotel is surrounded by two beautiful parks and is quite private and quiet. The staff are very accommodating and the breakfast was awesome.

The staff at this hotel are exceptional. I have stayed at JW Marriott and Los Gold Incas in Lima, as well as the Ritz Carlton in NYC and none of the staff can match the wonderful people at La Costa del Sol. If you are looking to have a beautiful meal at this hotel, make sure to ask for Epifanio, he is top notch. I could go on and on about the staff here. The hotel is gorgeous, but the staff bring it to a whole new level. Thank you everyone at Costa del Sol. I will be back again (sooner than later I hope).

Had the pleasure to spend a few nights at this beautiful hotel. The grounds are well kept and the decoration all through the hotel is warm and comforting. Very spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and closet space. Breakfast was delicious with local fruit and artesian bread. The staff was friendly and very courteous. They had great suggestions as to food, shops and tourist attractions.

The location is also great, just a 15 minute walk to the “Plaza de Armas” or just $2-3 taxi/Uber ride right about anywhere in town. Staff will gladly call you a cab if Ubers are unavailable with a minimal price difference.

We also decided to book a guided tour of “Ruta del Sillar” directly with the hotel. We organized the tour the night before and their schedule was very flexible. Highly recommend Carlos if at all possible. Great experience!

Excellent location, the best one in Arequipa, surrounded by trees and pretty much no noise, except Sundays. Pool, jacuzzi and good cocktails! My go to place every time I go to Arequipa. Walking distance to the historic city center.

Fantastic hotel, good location, spotless. Very friendly excellent service. The breakfast is out of this world. Pool, gym, two restaurants, gift shop, coca tea available constantly. They also have a small petting zoo. Solid free Wi-Fi. Pricey hotel but worth it.
Please note, if you have a meal at the hotel and want to tip your server on the credit card you are using to pay, they cannot charge the tip on your card and the server will not get the money. Make sure you tip in cash - soles or other currency (USD,, EUR..). Same goes for the people that provide the turn down service - leave some cash on your bed.

Very good hotel. Very helpfull staff. After a very long drive, we first got a noisy room near the entrance of the hotel. We asked for a quit room and got a free upgrade : a small suite. 👍

Best place to stay in Arequipa. You are in the city, but you don't notice it. It's nice it has a parking spot. Loved the pool at night.
