Luna Rossa Ristorante e Pizzeria

This was much better than expected after reading some of the reviews. They were very accommodating. Meals were large and tasty. Loved the Octopus Carpacio appetizer. Sea bass was very tasty. Price was OK.. I'd definitely recommend.

I had the Margherita pizza, and it was excellent. It tasted like the pizza from Florence Italy and brought back some wonderful food memories. The service waiters were on top of anything desired or needed. Beautiful artwork compliments this eatery.

Delicious food - bit pricey but everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Calzone, pepperoni pizza, pumpkin ravioli - all excellent. Wish there was an economical side salad or steamed veggies - the salmon fettuccine was very generous portion. My pumpkin ravioli was small - likely what you should eat - but if I go again - I’ll get a pizza. The variety bruschetta was really good.

Walking along the beach, we came upon a Pizzeria. It was open air and had plenty of seating. We ordered a pizza, with drinks.

Service was excellent. Food was excellent. I would visit again.

Authentic Italian. Carne grilled to perfection. Outstanding wine choices. Tiramisu to die for... what more could you want?

Pink Italian Moon in Coronado

This cozy little restaurant sits in "downtown" Coronado, a former chalet, the owners have turned it into a little piece of Italy in the Panama shores.

It has two "ambientes" a terrazzo in the outside underneath a Rancho and the little house very well decorated with pictures and mementos from La Italia.

We ordered a Luna Rossa Pizza that in true Italian style was thin and with not tons of tomato sauce, with fresh Italian sausage and Pepperoni.

The waiters are very professional and dressed in black and white just like you would find in a ristorante on a little seaside Italian town.

Fine dining at it finest. The food for exquisite, the service was the best I’ve seen in a long time. If you’re in this neck of the woods, you must come here.

A gem in the area. The food is always a delightful the service great, and they have no issues if children come for the meal.

Had a fantastic gluten free pasta meal. Every effort was made to assure there was no cross-contamination in the cooking process. Delightful experience!

Amazing Italian food. We had the vegetarian pizza and 2 pastas that was delicious.
They also have a grate option for gluten free pasta!

My plate of Spaghetti alle vongole was really an authentic Italian dish. Absolutely loved it! The Tiramisu was wonderful as well! I will definitely be back on a regular basis. Service was excellent too!

Very nicely setup. If you’re in the mood to dress up for a special evening, this is a great place. The waiters spoke English, which was nice with dinner suggestions. Menu had a large variety. It’s pricier than other comparable restaurants in the area, but not bad at all.

Wonderful service, ambiance and food. Our evening out with friends was absolutely wonderful. Kudos to the chef, owner and staff. We come here knowing we'll receive excellent service every time.

They open the door, escorted me to a table and had ice water to the table quickly. Cool, celar temp red wine never had that. It s usually warm...Tasty food, sublime service but not to busy and I had an experienced waiter.

We had dinner at Luna Rosa on 1/30/2023. This is our 1st time on this trip and had dinner there twice on a previous trip. Everything was excellent from the quick response to the email request to make the reservation to desert. This time we ate inside in the beautiful dining room. The staff was attentive and very kind. My wife had a house salad and a pizza which had a very thin crispy crust. It was loaded with toppings, she thoroughly enjoyed both. My mother had the lasagna. A generous portion, traditional style, thick with layers of cheese, meat, and rich tomato sauce. She loved it. I had the Clams in a Pomodoro sauce; they were the best I have ever had. Succulent little neck clams in garlic, tomatoes and herb sauce. Seriously the best I have ever had! I also had the spinach raviolis with a red sauce. It was a very generous portion cooked just right. It was a great dining experience. Oh yeah, the red sangria was on point loaded with fruit and not too sweet. Bellissimo!

We really enjoyed our night out at this restaurant. They have a great selection of Italian food. According to the waiter, all of their pastors are made from scratch, as are their sauces. I would say it’s pricey for the area, but I suppose you’re getting what you pay for. My chicken parmigiana was a bit tough, but I have a feeling that’s just the way chicken is in this country, and I won’t complain. Everything was very well done and I would not hesitate to return. Thank you very much for a great romantic dinner.

This place has elevated their game and they are flat out unbelievable now. Excellent food, and I'm very picky.

A must visit, especially because there is very little competition of this caliber around here.

Normally a good place, but the chicken parm was rather rubbery the last two times I've been. Likely going to give it one last chance before I give up on it.

Love this Restaurant! Been there with family several times and the food and service is amazing! The owner always makes you feel welcome and the food doesn’t disappoint!
