Great seafood market for the freshest seafood that Panama has to offer!

San Carlos fish market is where fishermen offload their catch. The people in the concrete building by the water sell various fish caught that morning for <2$ a pound. E.g.. mackerel, corona, snapper. Suggest visiting before 8am. Not the cleanest place but fish is fresher than any grocery store. You pick your fish from the baskets and they weigh it up.

Nueva Gorgona is a town and corregimiento in Chame District, Panamá Oeste Province, Panama with a population of 4,075 as of 2010. Its population as of 1990 was 1,980; its population as of 2000 was 3,140. Nueva Gorgona is 79 km west from Panama City on the Pan American Highway. It is located between the towns of Chame and Coronado, 5 minute drive from either town. Gorgona's beaches and proximity to Panama city have attracted interest from developers.
